$7.99, which was enough to get me to bite.
Spielberg was a producer on the first movie, yet we don't refer to the toys as "Spielberg stuff," do we?
Went on my first hunt in 18 years. Was looking for MPM BB, went to Ross, DD's Discounts and TJ Maxx. Didn't find a whole lot of TF stuff, mainly a few sets of Energon igniters or some such. Trying to find a fifty dollar toy in piles of $10 toys was asking for a lot....
I ended up finding three legends POP figures. Cindersaur, Lockdown and Battle Slash for $6 each. I took one look at Cindersaur, saw he was a purple dinosuar and my BW aged mind was set. Most importantly, it got me out of the house!
Whoever found that WreckGarr and BBs, good work! I will goto DD's and look every time I pick up cat food.
The BB designs don't bother me much even though they have micro greebles like Baymovies. I tried to narrow down what it was I don't like about the previous movie designs and this is what I came up with....
The Bay designs feature a lot of contemporary earth technologies into the decorative function of the robot mode. My engineering mind sees things like gears and hydraulic cylinders littered around the design without specific purpose. This is a problem for me because Tfs are cybertronian, there should be things me eyes do not recognize technologically. Having mishmash of seemingly functional items used liberally to fill robot mode space causes pain, this is echoed right into the ape-like face sculpts.
Your right, maybe I made the wrong point, but you can't say his influence of all the prior movies was not felt on this project at all. At one point this was a 100% a prequel movie in their eyes.
They must know collectors scour their stores. They even have the Kylo Ren lightsabre black series for $79.99.
Picked up the SS Bumblebee 2pk at Burlington for $17.99.
It's $14.99 with free shipping on Entertainment Earth right now: Transformers Studio Series 24 and 25 Deluxe Class Bumblebee 2-Pack - Exclusive - Entertainment Earth
Located a MPM7 Bee at a Ross in Northern Kentucky. I was lucky enough to find one at the first Ross I checked
Found one as well... like, the ONLY ONE in the store. Unless more were hiding... cause that area was a disaster.
Found today..cheapest price yet.
I saw these at Ross today and don't think they have been mentioned yet. The small Bumblebee was $5.99 just like all the ones from the same line before it. I thought I took a better pic of the Starscream but I think the price is the same as the Grimlock and Bumblebee previously spotted $7.99.
Found Blackwing Power Of The Primes at 3 different Ross today. $5.99 each. Should of mentioned I found Wreckgar last week at Ross for $7.99 and several today as well.
I picked up a Blackwing on amazon for $8.01 but would have grabbed another if I saw it today. I have only seen one Wreckgar which I grabbed.
There is one out in Clearwater Florida off of US 19 and Gulf To Bay for anyone interested. A Few Wreckgars there as well.
5.99?? thats worthy of a few more "spares" in my army. Will check my local tonight
saw a bunch of crappy bees but no MP BEE
Geez. Ross has been selling ALOT of transformers stuff this year.
I'd buy those cyberverse at that price. So far I only own Gnaw.
If anyone picks up a Wreck-Gar but doesn't want the card could they hook me up with one? Ordered Wreck-Gar from BBTS last week, but looks like it is the Takara release without the card. Would hate not having that in my Transformers card binder, already got a slot selected for it.
