There were a lot of complaints about the set. No standard Ginrai, God Bomber is a mess, loose parts here and there, and thanks to the heel design he's got weight distribution issues and is incredibly unstable. But for Takara making a Super God Ginrai out of the figure that wasn't originally intended to ever be a Super God Ginrai it turned out ok (at least if all you need him to do is just stand there and look good, he can at least do that). If they were to go back and make a version from the ground up, I'm sure it would be a huge improvement. And yes, Hasbro would likely market it as Powermaster Optimus Prime, with his Powermaster possibly called Ginrai for the reference and the add-on being Apex Armor/Bomber. Yes. A Generations Star Saber is on a lot of want lists. It will likely be WFC scaled so he'll fit fine, and is expected to be a lot less than $400.
I mean, isn't Godbomber basically a predecessor to the Weaponizers? Because I heard nothing but good things about those guys in WFC.
rumors say he’s $200-$250, and he’s meant to be a big boi, the full Star Saber mode is combiner sized in the anime I’m imagining it’ll probably be about the same size as the MP (Saber might be smaller) with WFC engineering/aesthetics
Yup. I own Legends Super Ginrai and God Bomber and God Ginrai is a hot mess. It's a very nice looking sculpt but it barely stays together and has only one pose because of its fragility. PMOP/God Ginrai should be the next HasLab after SS or maybe just be a $100 commander.
A Leader class might work, but given they’re six changers, the only class that would properly show off all six modes is commander to me. I do recall Sixshot being pretty big in JG1 Headmasters. If they tried it with leader, seems like it would be too small to me. But, if a commander class is truly too big when comparing size to other characters then i’m all for a leader class 2 pack.
I’m sure they could figure something out to get him into a box. I just think he seems more likely to be a mainline figure then a haslab.
There were rumors a while back that we could be getting a MP set of Trainbots in 2022 sometime. I would love a set of those guys, MP or otherwise.
Seems likely. I'm thinking Marvel's new Haslab will reveal now, and once it runs it's course they'll start the next Haslab for Transformers.
How far spread were the previous HasLab announcements previous? Because with this Star Saber, and then Star Wars with their Rancor, and then the Galactus today for the Marvel fans, that's crazy to have a bunch of these projects generally around the same time. With that said, I'd totally back a USS Flagg for their 6" Joe line
So HasLab just announced a $399 Galactus project that starts today and ends August 31st. I'm guessing there's overlap in the Marvel/TF fandoms so I'm curious if this is would launch later in the year once this project is done to try and avoid draining too much money from potential buyers. It's Star Saber. Unless someone punked the usual leakers that's the one thing we're sure of.
$399 galactus, crowdfund is 1.5 months and needs 14k backers. Makes me wonder what star saber's crowdfund numbers will be.
I'd imagine smaller if not comparable due to the price. Galactus is so high cause the Sentinel was 21,000ish and this should be no issues for Galactus
