commander class is not a height class. I think that’s pretty obvious now with what we’ve got over the past 3 years
Don't mind me. Just waiting for them to reveal who the actual project is. Everyone says Star Saber because "leaks", but leaks have been wrong before. Could be the Road Caeser team for all we know.
The fact I've seen multiple post on getting the series wrong worries me that those saying 'Star Saber is a nobody' might be more correct than I imagined. Be honest people, how many of you even knew he existed before IDW?
Yeah, I totally agree with this here. Businesses do this all the time, they offer say three options: bare bones, ultra expensive and the third middle tier is usually what they want, which is marketed as the best value for money. For arguments sake, we’ll say Star Saber & Victory Leo are $100 each. I personally would market Star Saber as $150 & Victory Saber (Star Saber + Victory Leo) for $200. You’re still offering a lower priced option, but most people would go “oh, it’s only $50 more for Victory Saber, the full package is clearly better value for money!” and go for that. Obviously it’s all speculation until we hear more, but that would make the most financial sense.
Even if we didn't have the leaks which stated Star Saber, he's just the most obvious choice. The teaser is specifically Victory, which is a completely different series from Masterforce, Headmasters, Zone, or Return of Convoy. And who is objectively THE face of Victory? The poster boy of the whole series? Star Saber is, he was the Autobot's supreme commander, and he's very popular in Japan still. I'd argue that not only is Star Saber the poster boy of Victory, but honestly the entire JG1 series. When you think "Japanese original Autobot leader", I'm pretty confident that decently well researched fans would immediately think Star Saber. So of course the big flagship Haslab figure (which I swear to God is Hasbro testing the market for more Japanese characters) from JG1 is gonna be Star Saber. The only heroic Japanese character I can think of that's on quite the same level of recognition to Star Saber is Lio Convoy, and there's no way he'd justify a Haslab campaign.
well they’re out of print now and the fan base is always growing and not everyone lives on here or tfwiki. People who don’t know the takara trilogy from start to finish doesn’t their voice can’t be heard especially if I gotta hear how people think takara and hasbro are the same company a million times on here
Chill. Not everyone is as knowledgeable, or even truthfully cares. The only reason I am familiar with Star Saber is because of collecting Robot Masters, then the MP. I don't care for the Japanese cartoons (I tried, but couldn't), and the print media is not something I enjoy. If I got a name associated with the incorrect series, well, oops. My bad. I'm sure others may be like this as well. As long as there are good figures to be made and bought, the source material isn't all that important to some.
pfft you don’t even know which transformer show is which from Japan. You even a fan bro? What do you think you’re even do here
I mean, it's no different from Haslab teasing the Armada logo and then having to read people suggesting Bulkhead or Tigatron or Vector Prime are possibilities. It's valid that people are posting to correct this speculation.
so is this just gna be an upscaled version of the old MP fig?? im so confused by this ... someone pls educate me on how a SS fig could be worth $500-$600???
That was unnecessary. All I'm saying is that not everyone is in it for the media, and shouldn't be held to a standard of knowing everything there is to know about said media. Yeah, Google exists, but truth be told, I don't care and just want fun toys.
It won't be $500-$600. All information we have so far points to it being $200-$250. Unicron (as far as I'm aware, I don't know how much the sail barge was) is so far the most expensive Haslab, most have been around $100-$200. Just because one TF Haslab was nearly $600 doesn't mean all of them are going to.
oh come on man. I’m not being serious at all. I agree with you that’s why I liked your posts and even replied to him very similarly saying not everyone has seen it or seen it as many times as him
It can't be too damn hard to take ten seconds to check who was the lead Autobot of Victory. Seriously, its not difficult info to find on the internet of the 2020. We're not in the 1990 where information on Japanese G1 was scant, conflicting or even flat out incorrect.
Weird, I just started a thread about moving my MP Victory Saber to my CHUG shelf. I'm interested only if it's Victory Saber (Star + Leo). No way, if it's just Star Saber.
Isn't that pretty much how the TR one sizes? It could definitely be better, but it's really not too bad for what it is.
