I have God Ginrai and he's about par with the Combiner Wars Combiners or Jetfire. Big boy.

That’s literally the first positive review that I’ve ever seen of that set.

Sounds right, that'd put him right in the range of CW combiners as well, so the math checks out

Yeah I got that one. I like that set. But I think he is supposed to scale much larger if the micromasters are supposed to be the same size as regular vehicles and he fought reincarnations of larger Transformers like Devastator and Trypticon (which Super7 or Takara should do as Deluxe or Voyager class figures).

I really like the set and I corrected any problems Dai Atlas had with a simple tooling. a western release would get retooled a little with better QC

The MP was released more than 6 years ago and is now pretty hard to get at a reasonable price and definitely has some flaws. This figure would also be a completely different scale from MP Star Saber.

If they re-release it, it needs some retooling at minimum.

I could work with that. I know the scale isn't perfect and gets a bit wonky, but that sounds about the right size for a couple of well-made Commanders combining together. I'm down for that.

SS just doesn't get revealed anymore unless it's 86. Not sure why. If it wasn't for TFW and sites like it, most fans probably wouldn't even know Grindor is out there at retail...

$200-250, the leakers say. No Unicron pricing. I'm not sure why we have to wait for November when he's already out in Asia and people have purchased him.

    I'm fine with that, too.

    *nods*

I hope this set is put together better than Dai Atlas... That waist of his SUCKS.

Hopefully he has the heft of skylynx and jetfire but the size of in or around a combiner/god Ginrai for scale. Just a nice solid mass with modern articulation and a sword that can be held correctly with playability of a chug is what I want.

Ah, I didn't know leakers had weighed in. Still, why Victory Saber as a Haslab project? Why not just release him in the main line? Interesting directions this could go.

Not to mention that even if you can find an MP Star Saber there's no MP Victory Leo to go with it.

And no, I'm not counting Simba.

We'll find out when they reveal it. It's entirely likely they don't feel a Victory Saber would sell well enough to justify the price point they'd need. Or to make it fit in a price point they'd have to make cuts that would compromise the character.

The utter weirdness of Hasbro supposedly being willing to add in a second all-new figure to their crowdfunded project at no extra cost, but also retooling a mass-retail Deluxe requires a significant jump in price.

I guess Hasbro forgot about the Studio Series movie line. I ordered SS Grindor and Ravage from an import site last week, along with SS 86 Slug (Slag) with Daniel Witwicky. That is probably the mystery 2 pack that's on pre-order on Big Bad Toy Store.

Alright, that's a possibility depending on how large and good-looking it is for that price. By that point I won't have stopped buying Transformers entirely-- I'll collect Botbots as long as they're going, for example-- but after this year I'm paring it down to either updates of figures that haven't gotten a good update in a LONG time (like at least ~20 years) or completely new, original, interesting designs like, say, Wingfinger. I'm getting tired of the 84-86 cast over and over again (any version), I've got enough of 'em...

Same. I will take any upcoming updates, such as Skids, and possibly the leaked Ratchet (and I assume Ironhide), but beyond that...I'm getting tired of rebuying everything over and over again.

I hope Liokaiser is next year's TF Haslab and Dinoking the year after.
If that's what it takes to get them done with Breastmaster partners and shells.

We've been over this countless times.

60 percent of fans: "Who is Fangry?"
30 percent of fans: "Fangry is cool, but I have no attachment to him."
10 percent of fans: "I needs ma Fangry!"

*Fangry is teased in a, boxset with three other figures who have no claims to fame and haven't appeared in any media in that form.*

95 percent of fans: "Take my money!"
5 percent of fans: "Why aren't Optimus's hands blue! Let's march to Pawtucket!"

Yes. I also love how none of the heroes and the beloved Transformers characters from our youth died in the American Sunbow continuity.

Let's fucking say GO! Star Saber is a love of mine, and if this guy is a remake of the Siege Jetfire mold, I'm gonna be in joy. If it's a brand new mold from the ground up? OH MY GOD I"LL DIE!

I think they have a realistic number they think they can hit. Takara will promoting this too so they will probably get a sizable chunk of sales from Japan and Asia.
