I would absolutely love that. I love that they're doing all these guys from other lines in their new unified scale, some of those older toys are way too big to slot in to a modern collection.
I seem to remember his craft flying through the energy wave which causes the transmetal changes so I figured the wave affected him too, although it wasn't discernable from outer appearance. Since the only transformation we saw him do was into his cassette form (for no apparent reason aside for a , wink, "yes it is that Ravage!' to the viewer...which is arguably reason enough. I'm certainly not complaining) after his arrival on earth, it's uncertain what special abilities or forms he gained. In my head-canon reassessing his G1 alt-form as a third form is his transmetal ability. I know it doesn't quite add up as it's a different effect to the others. Anyway, I recieved him yesterday. Yet to transform him but enjoying the robot mode a lot. I do find his firearms a bit odd as they narrow down a lot for such a beefy character. Cheetor's proved to be wider, on comparison. I also love the G1 homage figure. Very simple transformation, which works very well. Way too thin to stand properly, at least without difficulty, but he's great.
Transmetals (as in the 1st gen ones, not Transmetal 2s) didn't gain special abilities aside from better handling of energon radiation (implied) and invisibility to Vok sensors. However, yes, Ravage would have had to go through the same wormhole that was charged with the same energy that made them Transmetals. Depth Charge also went through this wormhole and was Transmetalized, so even though it wasn't stated in the show, it is a logical conclusion that Ravage was indeed a Transmetal.
Yikes. Mine's supposed to arrive this afternoon. Hope it doesn't arrive like that... not sure if I'm gonna save the box since I'm opening it anyway though.
Seeing all of these damaged boxes coming in from Pulse is not giving me hope that mine will arrive undamaged so I can display him in his package.
Was lucky with mine, box was fine. (poet and don't know it ) The main problem is the flimsier cardboard they used for the packaging. Feels like half the thickness of the mainline boxes. The Pit of Judgement box didn't feel this thin.
They'll reissue Deluxe Cybershark and then RiD Sky-Byte. Odds are also really really good that any retail figure will be Sky-Byte with Cybershark being the Selects repaint. If it keeps figure costs down, it is what it is. He's gonna get a special spot alongside my UW Ruination/Baldigus.
Im an opener so if by some miracle my box arrives unscathed anyone on here is welcome to it (meaning the box and insert) for the cost of shipping. I think Im scheduled to get it monday or tuesday.
I just got mine, the package was just fine but, oh boy do these elbows actually scare the shit out of me. Especially with how tight the bicep swivels are on mine. Jesus it feel like if I breath on them too hard they might snap. Otherwise I like him quite a bit. Didn't even attempt to take the cassette's guns out, cause I don't really care. But once I got the front beast mode legs flipped around this guy works really well. Glad I don't have to use Shadow Panther as my Ravage stand in, and he can be his own distinct character instead!
Mine came today. Love him. (in retrospect I shoulda used a white background but I'm too lazy to set everything up again right now)
Those asymmetrical sculpted lines on his chest surprised me.... but it turns out they were on the show model and I'd seen them for 23 years without ever noticing.
Kingdom Cheetor: Easily the weakest BW figure in the line. WFC Trilogy Ravage: Makes this mold look good. Apparently Wesley Snipes was right, always bet on black. Small changes make for big differences. This guy absolutely punts Cheetor right where it hurts. He's fantastic! Looks great in both modes, and fills a whole my collection has had for a very, very long time. I am so happy I managed to snag one of these. Now I just need to get my mitts on a Kingdom Tigatron to complete my BW cat trio.
Small changes? WFC Trilogy Ravage is almost a completely different mold. The only thing it shares is the front beast legs and the bot legs from the knee down. That's hardly small changes.
