Don't all combiners partsform in some way? Isn't that kind of the appeal of combination?

Technically all combiners are partsformers by definition.

But a decent amount of collectors hate partsforming combiners.

Yeah. But a few have done it where the individual members do not partsform to become part of the combiner. MMC All-Built-In Perfection Assaultus (Bruticus) for example, has the hands and feet built into the bots that become the arms and legs. And the chest has no kibble involved in becoming the core body.

I would like to see a combiner team combine and un-combine without partsforming. Would be a neat trick.

Plus: What the heck does this have to do with Ravage?

That would be like Human Centipede

Partforming seemed more interesting than Citizen Ravage

I know that, and I’m pretty happy about that. I almost wasn’t expecting that from how fast the Golden Disk collection sold out of preorders(seriously, Terrorsaur was sold out within the hour). But I’m glad that’s not the case with Ravage and more people have the chance to get it on Pulse. I just hope the scalping problem stops with Legacy wave 1(cause most of that is sold out on Pulse too). It probably won’t, but a guy can hope.

I was expecting it to be one of those figures where you'd either get it in the first 5 minutes or just deal with scalping prices, so it was pleasantly surprising to just check Hasbro Pulse and find it still available.
If only the mass retail figures were that easy to get.

I dunno if I should be laughing, shaking my head or just Snoopy Dancing at the people that paided up to 300 for this on ebay in the months leading up to this release, still available at retail. Same reaction to those who paid for Premium Pulse...

Either it was over produced, Star Saber drained the pockets, subject material was not of strong enough interest or the item is an epic failure. Jury still out. But, with only 1 product sold out this year, with a history of full sell out same day, either there just were far better items people pursued or this item is the Reissue Walmart G1 Hotrod...

Hope they drop the limit of 1 over time. Cause I know of other people in family that would appreciate this for Christmas or Birthday.

Definitely gonna try ordering another one if he's still in stock after my order from yesterday ships, as I'd love to get a second one to open up and display on my BW shelf!

Since Ravage is a Pulse exclusive, Pulse has 100% of the available stock. (Editing this part because Oniconvoy pointed out below that Ravage was available through other outlets outside the United States.) This is different from Terrorsaur, where they only had 5% of the available stock, and Legacy Wave 1 as well, which they were offering more for the advance hype than in a role as an actual retailer. A quick sellout was to their benefit, as it creates a stronger buzz around the product.

So, if Ravage had a production run of 10,000, Pulse had an unknown remainder of those 10,000 to sell after part of the run was sold outside the U.S.
But if Terrorsaur had a production run of 30,000, Pulse only had 1,500 to sell.
And if Legacy Wave 1 has a production run of 100,000, Pulse may have only ordered 1% of the run, and only had 1,000 of each figure to sell.

So the speed it takes a figure to sell out isn't always indicative of how many of that figure are available in total.

Gosh, it’s just so hard to justify the price tag. He’s only a little cheaper than the new Galvatron…

Tried ordering this on Hasbro Pulse but it was immediately cancelled for no apparent reason. Didn't automatically refund me either. Sucktastic, man.
