The Baliff had more new tooling than just a head
I have MP Star Saber and the KFC Simba so I'm all set if this is another Star Saber.
So give me an MP Deathsaurus!!
It goes up for funding. You pay when and if the goal is met.
For example, if they are asking $300 for Star Saber but need 5000 people to buy to make it worth their while. They set a deadline for August 31. In that case, you would be charged $300 on or around August 31 if and only if they got 5000 or more buyers. If not the project would not be funded, the figure would not be made, and you would not get charged.
If the project did get funded, then they would advance to finalizing the product, casting the molds, and putting it into production. Despite the ramblings of some, they will have put some cost into developing the toy before the campaign starts, but given the high cost and comparatively low profit margin they will not finish development and production unless the campaign is successful. That means you would most likely be looking at 18-24 months between the end of the campaign and receiving your Star Saber.
200-250 for a Jetfire size cartoon faithful Star Saber with the bells and whistles of the original toy sounds pretty fair. He’s pretty obscure in the US so getting that in the main line seems like a big ask.
if this does well I’m sure thats the plan. Feel like Deathsaurus could be done in the main line. Maybe Liokaiser as a Selects or an exclusive. The rest would probably have to be Haslab.
I kind of want a Titan Class Dai Atlas…
The Ravage figure looks awesome.
I'll DM you my paypal
Clearly a f*cking awesome dog!
Providing this is Star saber, I hope this means we\'ll be getting blacker, laster and braver in the not too distant future and they can all combine to form road caeser.
That would be Takaratomy's decision... NOT Hasbro's.
I've waited so long aaaaaa.
Guys guys guys, wheelie was in the Japanese show wasn't he? Its clearly a crowd funded titan class wheelie
also Motorvator genselects repaints please for the love of god
Clearly you need to try harder.
Well, Star Saber is deluxe/voyager sized robot that can combine with the back half of his jet mode to form a combiner sized robot in a very similar fashion to how Powermaster Optimus works.
And if they through in Victory Leo(which I imagine they are), he’s the same height as Star Saber, and can combine with him to form the even larger Victory Saber
So your looking at 2 robots somewhere around Commander Jetfire’s height, one also features a fully functioning voyager figure, and the other can split apart for combination. Thats around a $200 deal.
By the way, Fun Fact. Victory Leo actually is the rebuilt form of God Ginrai.
Huh. The 5mm port on Ravage's beast back had me wondering if the figure was initially planned to come with the Siege cassette instead. And then I read this clearly outdated description:
not to mention the description calls him a Micromaster, which the G1 figure isn't, but the Siege one is.
Once it goes live, you can back the project on Pulse. You can rescind your backing at any time between the listing going up and the window closing. If the project is a success and the figure is made, your money is locked in the second the window is closed...as that money is used to put the figure in to production.
Once the figure is ready, they're shipped out to buyers.
In addition, some third parties will likely offer opportunities to back the project for those not able to use Pulse for whatever reason (most likely due to being outside the US/EU). In those cases, the most likely scenario is you'll pay a premium to the third party who'll then submit a preorder to HasLab and help back the project.
Most third parties will also have a non-refundable deposit to avoid having people jump in and out (which makes it hard for HasLab and the 3P to track backing numbers). I believe it was $100 for Unicron.
The premiums charged by 3Ps are to compensate in part for having to maintain warehouse space for the figures once they're distributed...as well as covering the cost of shipping the product once they get it from HasLab.
Funny enough, one thing a bunch of us likely didn't consider when calculating the cost of Unicron was distribution. Shipping something that size wouldn't be cheap. But no one who backed it via HasLab (that I'm aware of) paid shipping.
Mom, can you come pick me up? I dont feel comfortable here...
“No one is going to want this thing.” Then it goes for 1000 bucks on ebay two years from now.
You have to love proudly stubborn, deliberate ignorance.
I am definitely interested in Ravage. My first Transformer (along with Rumble) and favorite Decepticon. Cost is a bit high, but not so much I won't bite.
Star Saber... I have to see it. I am not a fan of the design aesthetics of a lot of the JG1 characters. They just feel too much generic Japanese robot to me, and I have no attachment to the show. Still, a good toy is a good toy so I'm open to it. More importantly, I've seen people on these forums asking for this toy for 20 years. I'm hoping that they are happy with what they get.
Haslab is not for MPs, so it unfortunately seems you'll to wait for xtb's version
Im down to fund a Star Saber. Not sure if I have the shelf space for him though.
btw, are there any legal places I can watch Victory at?
Separate names with a comma.
