They could fit into PotP with no problem as the legends size class is unchanged this time.

You are right, that is based on pretender Skullgrin. However, the figure is Leige Maximo. It's partly a homage to his first appearence in the G2 comics.
    IMG_5985.JPG
Furthermore, these new Prime Master are described as being Avatars, or re-incarnations of the other 12 Primes that have awakened. So in a sense Skullgrin was a dormant Avatar of Maximo, who has no awoken and realized his true self.
Thats fucking genious if you ask me. I wonder what the other 11 Primes will be, possibly and most likely the other pretenders.

Pretty sure that's NOT the deluxe figure. The deluxe figure is pictured on the first page of this thread and has a red box around the flames on his chest..

Is this seriously what they are going to show for Rodimus Prime on the box? Because it looks ridiculous, is a mid-step, where is the final result?

That's really the deluxe figure. The Leader has white hands. The deluxe has the yellow hands.

Yeah, I get that, I'm just saying that's not Rodimus Prime "evolved", he's still in mid "evolution" can't even see his face...

Hasbro's slides has Sukllgrin on them but the official images say Leige Maximo. I think they going to try a sell each toy are being a part of one the 13's descendants, that is why Dreadwing's card has the green broader and mentions Leige Maximo.

My only regret is that Legends Minibots no longer come with a little partner/Targetmaster, and I have to keep coming up with substitutions whenever I buy them. Thank goodness for Arms Microns and PCC Minicons.

    Interesting stuff.

I never cared for Headmasters or Powermasters or Pretenders, but throw one of those li'l farts in with a tiny homaging thing, and I start liking it. Seems "smaller and cuter" softens my opinion quite a bit.

Legends continue to do their own thing and be awesome for the most part.

Apparently the deluxes and voyagers are "Combiner Wars, Part Deux", which I'm OK with, but others obviously won't be. Doesn't help when Darkwing & Dreadwind are obvious retools of Air Raid and Skydive. (though it's kind scary how well those base molds fit) Jazz appears all-new to me, and is fairly admirable for an apparent CW-style design, though it's painfully obvious from the car mode there's another use of this mold planned. It's not obvious to me what it is just yet.
Starscream is hurt more by this IMO, with the huge 'moon boots' and 'Hulk hands'. I'd still be on board for a blue Thundercracker repaint with a Buster the dog 'Prime-master', however.

Rodimus Prime is fairly impressive, if a bit bulky and clunky. I'd like to see the smaller 'Hot Rod' form. It makes me wonder what the nature of other POTP leader toys will be - if they are all 'armor-up' Powermaster Op-style like Rodimus, or if each does their own thing with a Primemaster matrix deal.

Regardless, I'm pleased that not everyone removes their head to transform this time around.

The voyagers don't come with Prime Masters, but that is a good idea.

To set the record straight, those pics are only Rodimus. There isn't any pics of the standalone Hot Rod in bot mode.

Probably on purpose. They don't want us knowing if/how Deluxe/Leader figures may interact just yet.

I'd strongly suggest RTS Jazz over this new one, that mold is a real 9/10

Over 10 years, and Hasbro botched the Voyager Seeker mold.

    Seriously. :\\

Rodimus is very cool though. The Hot Rod looks better than the TR one haha.
