There is. Takara released one (or are scheduled to?) that is identical to hasbro's. will be hasbro's box too with takara stickers etc.

 

Except Acid Storm never grew on me...

 

Oh how I lol'd. This is hideous and the miss transformation joke continues.

 

Looks kind of bad because it's a bit mistransformed, posed a bit awkward, and is a photo of a computer screen that's probably already showing an image that's miscolored (official Hasbro pics have a way of ending up totally miscolored, ending up greenish or pinkish).

Even if the red is actually red he'll look good enough once we get some 'real' pics, but I'm positive the red will actually be something close to a vibrant orange. All is not lost.  

 

they need to make the coronation kit already!!!

I'll probably still get this, but he'll be "Generic Animation Error Seeker Troop Builder" while iGear Storm will be my official Sunstorm.

uuuuhh.. This makes Acid Storm a brilliant figure and Takara Sunstorm a reason to exist.
This time I hate to say It's a pass for me. Definitely Takara Sunstorm is the way to go.

 

It's like the Hasbro designers looked at the Bathing Ape and Evangelion Convoy repaints and said "Those are indeed fucking hideous, but we can do worse... MUCH WORSE!!!".

And so they did.

I've never seen any definitive proof of Acid Storm ever having been released in Japan. The Japanese TRU listing has been removed.

 

How are we not just getting Starscream and Skywarp redone in this mold already?!

MP3 came out (brace yourselves) EIGHT YEARS AGO.

That's more than enough time to get MP11s over here in more recognizable characters first...

...then make all of these abominations out of the mold.

 

 

Exactly! As much as we need a decent Thundercracker and Skywarp from this mold, all we get are these damn turds instead.

 

I actually was considering picking this guy up, even if I would have preferred Starscream. I guess it's a good thing I won't be able to afford him. Come on, Hasbro, this lack of paint apps was hardly acceptable on the DOTM figures, but it's completely unacceptable on a MASTERPIECE figure. Come on, Hasbro, what happened to figures with decent paint applications?? Remember the Premium Series figures? I'm not saying every figure has to have a perfect amount of paint detail, that would be impossible, but seriously, so many great and otherwise perfect looking sculpts like DOTM Deluxe Bumblebee, DOTM Deluxe Ratchet, Prime RID Deluxe Arcee, Beast Hunters Beast Fire Predaking, Beast Hunters Voyager Predaking, AOE Deluxe Crosshairs, and AOE Voyager Optimus Prime suffer from an unfortunate lack of paint applications. I don't know what's gone wrong, maybe paint is too expensive, I don't know. What I do know is that this should not go on any longer than it has to.

 

If they continue with the bad paint apps,You may not want them to release them.

 

Wow, it looks almost as bad as Acid Storm, which is an amazing accomplishment Hasbro!

They do seem to be intent on giving us total garbage compared to Takara. I do however like Thundercracker and I think Hasbro MP-10 is the only case that Hasbro outdid Takara 

 

Looks like he's based on the game. I don't know what's wrong with that. I guess he could have been more orange???

 

Really wish it was creamsicle orange, and not generic bumblebee yellow.

For those who want it. Maybe demand will be low enough it will be easy to find.
