So all the Studio Series deluxes have the same DCPI?
i believe so. you have to use the general dcpi. if you use the individual one, it won't work.
Yes. And all Voyagers have the same DPCI, all the leaders have the same DPCI, all the 4" Star Wars figures have the same DPCI, all the Power Rangers figures at the same price point have the same DPCI, etc.
Do you guys know what the DPCIs are?
I only see the individual figure DPCIs on the Target site
This is the reason I always felt there was an issue with the waves of stock. Retailers probably don't recognize wave 1 from wave 2 as dcpi is the same no matter what.
Do you guys think the $135 Predaking deal is the lowest it will go, or will it drop lower during the sales holiday? What do you predict will happen?
Amazon will very likely have it cheaper as we get closer to December.
lowest will probably be the same as the lowest a titan has gone for.
Or better yet....Ollies
Been wondering this myself. I think it'll go lower eventually. Best bet is waiting for Amazon. I snagged Trypticon from them for almost half off.
However, if there is a good eBay sale while it's still $135, like 15-20% off, I may jump on it. Part of that is impatience. The other is that it may not go much lower than that. It's a different ball game without TRU. I remember they had a BOGO deal almost right away when Trypticon came out. Plus I don't even see a Walmart listing that's not 3P. Pretty sure they direct sold Tryp. So while there is still a good chance of Amazon discounting to under $100, nothing is guaranteed.
And I'm not considering Ollies since there isn't one near me.
predaking is the least popular (and shitty imo) titan class and look how low trypticon got.
I do think it's one of the less popular figures. In terms of quality, I haven't followed all the reviews but thought it was generally well received. In any case, every Titan we've gotten has eventually gone to deep discount. You would think at some point Hasbro will figure it out and make fewer. Not saying it'll happen with Pred, but it's bound to happen, right?
You're not entitled to a more than 50% off discount. No one is. You guys are going to be the end of Titans. In all honesty, Titans should never make it to Ollie's so the lot of you can learn a valuable lesson. I think Amazon and holiday pricing are good enough, no one deserves a complete Titan that's 1/3rd the price of MSRP "jus' 'cause."
Thats one of the stupidest posts Ive read, entitlement got nothin to do w/it. If Hasbro got overstock that needs quick liquidation, theres Ollies/Ross/TJ, if they have these next year for $50-$60, Ill gladly buy mine.
No one else is carrying Predaking:
Amaz-"We've got some"
I'm not taking sides on this at all... Just that trying to suggest that a user named "Toyzaremine" is not entitled to something toy-related is probably not going to end well.
15% off MSRP is a pretty sweet deal already if you don't-care-how-want-it-now and just needed that little nudge/push off the fence to boom! bought bot territory.
Paid MSRP for mine in July and regret nothing, but I'm just glad I'm not that one unlucky dude that bought Predaking from eBay Hasbrotoyshop for the full $159.99 a day before it went on sale.
No day but today, but yeah there's Black Friday and/or (too much of a headache and I don't like waiting a year or two) the epic Ross/TJMaxx/Ollies/discount outlet gamble that never goes my way.
Quit buying studio series repaints and Bumblebees at MSRP and just go all in buy that glorious Predaking on sale now!
I agree to an extent. I think that people who wait specifically for the DEEP discount and either (a) complain if it never gets to discount retailers or (b) get upset that the figures are "scalped" IF they do reach discount retailers are definitely a factor that could lead to Titan class figures being less of a thing in the future.
There is also this. The only time I ever saw Titans (with one exception of actually seeing Trypticon at Ollie's) on the shelf would be on TRU visits. Even then, It was literally once per Titan. Hasbro's distribution or the willingness of the remaining toy retailers to carry the product must be a huge factor as well.
Personally, I don't like Predaking enough to justify full-blown retail cost. If he gets to the $100 or below mark, though? I'll probably be a player.
Since I do like Predaking, I'll probably bite if it's still $135 and eBay does a 15% coupon. That's about $125 including tax and free shipping. I can live with that.
