I am under the impression that only the Exclusive editions will be available next weekend at TFcon.

 

Don't mind at all   And yes I agree, the more it gets shared and exposed, it can only be good for the project.

That's what I've been lead to believe as well, the exclusive colours are to be available at TFCon before the TF colours are released. The exclusives will then also be available at AA in August.

Arms still don't look like sleeves... hope those paint apps arent done, the bicep would look a lot better using the same grey plastic they used for the head imo

If you go back a few pages you'll see that the pictures in this post state that the upper arms will be painted on the final version:

I believe that and the fact that Trench will also have his eyes painted blue nothing else has been confirmed about the final colors and paint apps.

Why aren't these available outside PSX again?

 

Because the other retailers cancelled their orders on the first round. So now, these are PSX exclusives.

 

All we know is that they were going to be a BBTS exclusives, but they took down the pre-orders (Without much advertisement or fanfare or anything) because they didn't sell as well as they wanted after leaving the ordering window open for maybe 24 hours tops. It should really be noted that it wasn't well telegraphed that they were exclusives and many people were still waiting for the preorders to go up at other online stores, so BBTS only really had themselves to blame for sales not being up to their standards.

It's purely conjecture, but it's easy to guess that Mech Ideas decided to go with PSX exclusively after that because they are run by a fellow Third Party company and figured they could control distribution better if they weren't being jerked around by a fickle retailer like BBTS.

We don't know which other sites might be carrying them if they weren't exclusives, but claiming that others would have bailed out like BBTS if they were in the same boat is probably being disproportionately unfair to Mech Ideas. Only BBTS knows for sure why they dropped the ball without even giving Bluster and Trench a fighting chance...

 

I still haven't put in a preorder for these yet. Still trying to move some funds around. They were supposed to come out the 1st of this month, weren't they?

 

I just cancelled my order. Tired of waiting for something I was only a little interestd in. But, I would have bought doubles of the Mario/Luigi set had they been available to the masses.

Not sure they handled this very well. Plus the fact that the exclusives will be available before the regular versions even though we paid for the regular release months ago!

 

Yep that sure sucks alright. I'm still only about 40-50% interested in the regular versions but the mario/luigi ones I very well may have bought doubles also had they made it possible.

It's not every day nintendo characters are crossed with tfs, I can see some people buying several at the con and selling them for ludicrous prices on ebay.

 

That's part of the reason why I held off on preordering the set for so long. I have a lot of other items on my list of things to buy and locking up the cash on this preorder wasn't very appealing to me.

 

Still trying to raise funds to lock in an order for these, but I am disappointed the Mario/Luigi will only be VERY limited exclusives. A run of 300 is tiny and it seems to be well received among fans who wanted these molds.
