I'm bummed that the faction symbol is gonna be a sticker. Almost makes me consider getting 2 of the G1 version. Almost....

Im releaved from a kitbashes perspective there is very little I need to do now to make that a kick ass MP-looking action master. Needs new shoulders, re-sleave the legs, add the gun scope to the forearm, articulated heads, maybe tweak the head...pretty straight forward. Good G1 looking torso and head to start with and size.

This is pretty cool. I've seen a lot of people requesting a tank version Megatron and these look great. Since it's leader line it'll be affordable enough as a stand in G1ish Destron leader without taking an actual MP slot.

Sweet, not disappointed for G1 Megs!

I had no expectations, so there was none to be let down. If I like him in hand enough, I may get the Armada version. Though to be fair, I wish that they remold him a little more, just the chest alone would make him worlds better.

Eh, on second thought, I'm passing on Armada Megs.

Oh, I'm getting the G1 version. Absolutely.
I may pick up the Armada version as well. But the G1 is a definite buy!

Not really. I think he's a bit similar to Jetfire in that he really looks like the G1 cartoon version in robot mode altho the comic now reflected that Jetfire's new toy as well, but comic Megatron isn't quite the same. His IDW look isn't as boxy. Here's his IDW design.

This new toy would probably fit right in with the new look of the upcoming GI Joe Transformers book.

Hope so. I'd love to have a figure of the MTMTE IDW design.

It's basically an earth based storm bringer. I am very happy with it: it's IDW enough for me.

I always thought Armada Meg's needed a redo with more articulation and would make an excellent Fort Max repaint. This is disappointing. The G1 version too. WTH Hasbro!

I hope that this isn't going to be the case where this Leader class Megatron gets turned into a Masterpiece on Takara side and this will be their new Masterpiece Megatron for mp-10 scale :/

Lol, agreed. It really looks like an upscaled deluxe.....the top is decent, but the arms and legs really lack articulation.... The toy looks "nice" but has no measurable finesse in terms of its engineering. WTH is hasbro doing? Every year they seem to give up just a little bit more -_-

At SDCC in 2013 they did state they were trying to move towards simpler transformations for a lot of their stuff. But most thought that Generation wouldn't be touched since the core audience is older collectors.

Ugh, cant believe they butchered generations as well.....They did state that generations wouldnt be touched....looks like everyones fears came true. Well, at least we've still got the MP's. The one thing untouched by this simplification non-sense.....for now at least...

There is also the fact that simpler toys are cheaper to make, along with shrinking sizes. Its either that or seeing the price hikes Mattel has put on MoTUC over the years.

Yep, I'm betting it has a lot less to do with "omg kids can't transform it" than it does cost. And that's fine but they don't ever seem to be up front about those things.

I'm all for simplification if it looks good. So far it looks a bit awkward.

True, I was pulling up his latest one. This or Stormbringer would be good for me. The design's not bad, the robot mode is very very cartoon G1 much like the upcoming Jetfire is (which I love). I'm just saying I would've preferred something closer to the MTMTE look because I want a Megatron to add to the crew I'm putting together.
