I like it, looks appropriately indestructibly tough. Hopefully the photography is subdueing the full range of his pose ablity, as I think I see thigh swivels in there, from the inside.

Definitely prefer the classic megatron look. But If it turns out to be a great toy. It will be nice to pick up a fully articulated Armada Megatron as well.

It´s gonna stay my Con leader while Megasteel gets to be the Autobot version.

Dude, when I read in the livefeed there would be 2 leader Megatrons, I almost exploded out of joy because I thought they would make a G1 and a BW Megatron in the same wave :D

Given how perfect the last Beast Wars figures are, I cant imagine a basic (non transmetal) Megatron with really good articulation. The old ultra Megatron is fine, I still have him, but I would kill for a new BW Megs. Same for Primal and Dinobot.

I really hope they will do more BW in the future, until then I'm thrilled for Takaras LG-01 & 02, since I never owned the original ultra Primal mold.

Alex Milne himself said about two months ago it would not be based off his design...

Was looking at the G1 again and comparing to Armada, is the G1 Megs missing back kibble?

Nah it just folds up on the back for a different config.

ah at least there is more to the re-tool than just a head sculpt. Though putting the tracks on the back might give some IDW feel to it.

Yeah if I get any version of this it would be the G1, and I would display it with the treads up. I still however am conflicted about the skinny cannon and the skinny lower legs. I am also not sure if the right arm has articulation. Those are my only gripes though.

I really want to like this, but I need to see more pictures. I hope this is just a bad photo, but it makes him look if not bricky, a little basic. Feels a bit like a blown-up Voyager.

I think the mold might actually work better as Armada Megs, but I'm still not sure about him.

Maybe its just in comparison to the Voyager Prime, but I like the G1 version, and like the cartoon style head sculpt. It a little caricature-ish, but its grown on me.

Nah both have the treads, this is just another case of bad photography choices.

"Oh, lets pose the G1 homage just like some of the art for G1 Megs shows!"

If they would have posed him like the Armada version and put those back treads up he would look way better.

I everyone is overlooking the most important gimmick on this toy....I think the treads actually work. I really hope they do. Also I Hope there's a port on the Back to store the fusion cannon to give it a more Armada accurate look. Also am hoping that the Upper Treads can go on his Shoulders.

They do. It's been said they do. And yeah, I agree that's a big deal. I love working treads on tank toys. Even if they don't work well, it always makes the toy look better.

I just had a thought... What if Hasbro made the TWO Galvatrons from this mold? Already see that as a possibility with the Armada one.

So were the original Megatron's, but nobody's perfect. Still on my list. :)
