Seriously? The articulation looks fine, Head swivel, torsos articulation, what looks like an ankle tilt, and standard arm, elbow, leg and knee joints means this guy has more articulation than most.

The head sculpt on G1 Megs is money...seriously, it's enough to make me overlook any shortcomings on the rest of the figure.

In tank mode Armada Megatron is the clear winner. The deco on G1 Megs is boring and lifeless, but Armada has a nice paint job. In robot mode I'd give the edge to G1 Megs.

I'm a big fan of the smaller arm cannon. They finally gave the guy a gun that won't block his vision every time he lifts his arm.

Wow, that looks a lot more like G2 Megatron than I was expecting (especially the arms). Surprised they didn't just go with a G2 repaint. Future convention exclusive, I guess.

So far it looks... not bad?

Just location of the knee and hand articulation... That's all. I think it's awesome, so no need to rush to the figure's defense.

This. I was positive they were gonna reuse g2/cloud megatron's head... With that silly smirk.

As a kid of the 90s, I was missed out on the glory that was the G1series and the first movie. I couldn't see until I was like 6 to rent it at a local BlockBuster. Transformers and Star Wars was LYFE since then. When Armada came on, I was hooked(probably not too hooked. The human voice work had me shooing my parents out of the living room it was that bad.) and had me jumping with excitement. Then things got weird. Stuck with a trilogy that got sillier as it went on (Cybertron was still awesome), a G1-love letter that I never got used to(never saw the end of Animated either), and 3 movies that I was EMBARRASSED to admit that I sort of liked, I felt a bit cheated as I got older. But with the surprise of AOE, The viewing ritual of awesomeness that was TF Prime, and the new IDW comics got me back to really loving Transformers again. Now I have a chance to own something that I never had along with something that I now enjoy.

    Tl;DR:
-Never grew up with G1(Though some viewings made me regret it)
-Saw Armada 1st, then the '86 film(not the best time to watch it while your sick)
-Had a mixed bag of a childhood
-TFP, IDW comics, and AOE got me loving Transformers again

Not sure how I feel about these. they look like they can't pose worth a damn. Giving them a real old retro robot toy feel that really doesn't do anything for me.

The fact that they're doing it as both G1 and Armada Megatron is really weird to me. At least the fact that they're doing it at the same time.

I already have a Classics Megatron covered by Hegemon but I am definitely getting the Armada version. Articulation seems a bit lacking in the leg area but he looks good for the most part.

Okay, I just read the panel description; the working treads thing is pretty cool.

The legends look great, arcee and chromia look nice, brain storm looks amazing and im glad we are getting a full on headmaster.

First thing i felt when i saw leader megs and voyager prime was disappointment, they both grew on me a bit though, if the tank barrel can retract fully i'll feel better about it but i think i built him up so much in my head i was bound to be disappointed unless it was nothing short of amazing.

I dig the armada megs for what it is and will probably double dip on the mold. the prime is odd, but i bet theirs a thunderclash in the works from that mold, the alt mode looks the part and im getting that vibe from the robot mode, dont know whats up with the g1 comics meets idw prime head.

Sad thing is I'd so wanted to love the new Optimus and Megatron, but three figures look beyond half ass. Armada Megatron looks good, put on the regular Megatron head and it is G2. That Optimus however is just so freaking sad.

Put some thigh swivels, deeper ankle tilts, and I will be extremely satisfied enough.

I want to love this figure... But I just can't. Working treads or not, it's just... Off. Maybe it's the super thin-looking legs. I like my robots with big, meaty legs.
Sad because I lack a G1-ish Megs in my collection.
