We both know we have to look for homages wherever they may be found, due to Hasbro budget. We didn't get individual wreckers figures, but repaints and remolds. When they a drop a new one like Brainstorm or Acree, that's an extra bonus in my book.

And Springer and Sandstorm, while roughly the same mold, were used exclusively on Wreckers.

Nice but I think they are more likely to do a new tooling that will work as both hotspot and onslught, mainly by switching out the ladder for some cannons.

You know looking at the figure again I wonder why they didn't make the fake window look more like the split IDW windows. I don't see why they couldn't, his windows on his chest are fake and could have been easily modified to further reflect the new IDW design.

I am pretty forgiving with the design (it looks IDW enough for me), but there are certainlly no reason they could not have altered it furtherto better reflect the design.

Only thing I can think of it is either a missed opportunity or they are in fact releasing a leader IDW Optimus and want the figure to be different enough to warrent to different purchases.

Looks like something I'd spend $10 on, not $25.

    I don't know what I expected

This was not as good as I hoped it would be. Prime's legs look to big for his lower torso, and so does his chest. And the lower torso isn't the only problem; his chest is also terrible. For previous Primes, I have been slightly annoyed with the fact that he has two different grills. But now it's gotten worse. He has another chest now, too! Hasbro should definitely redesign this piece of crap.
