Gamestop preorder fulfillment has mostly been unreliable for me, but I just pre-ordered on Gamestop anyway, and keeping my Pulse pre-order.

On paper I save couple bucks and get it ~6 weeks sooner than Pulse (always takes 2-3 weeks for orders to arrive through Pulse for me).

 

A 20% Off bag sale is going on now. Not sure how long it will last, but it includes TFs.

 

Sure would be nice if their website was up. Every other month I suddenly can't reach it on a desktop.

I mean this for every URL, be it the homepage, cart, sale, or listing.

I tried one and two (plus incognito mode and three other browsers) the last few times this happened with no success. The Hola plug-in doesn't work at all. It just locks up most of the time but occasionally goes back to the access denied error. Just for kicks, I tried an anonymous proxy website and that works until I have to submit a form (to search, to login, etc) so that's basically useless too. No idea WTF is up with GameStops's website that I can reach it on a phone but not a desktop.

 

Looks to be your ISP or your system's cache. I'm able to get to that URL with no issues. You also tried different browsers or mobile device vs desktop?

 

Desktop Chrome doesn't work.

I cleared the cache on all of them and that didn't work.
I used incognito mode where available and that didn't work.
I restarted the PC and that didn't work.
I pulled out a different PC and that didn't work.
I reset the modem and that didn't work.
Hard to believe they'd block 5 million customers on CenturyLink.

Mobile Chrome (over AT&T) works but it's such a painful experience.

 

Just preordered and canceled my Pulse preorder. If GS doesn't come thru, no biggie since Artfire isn't on my priority list. Thanks bro!

 

Gamestops new site has some funky ddos protection. They blocked a very popular deal Twitter account for a few days. Contact GamestopHelp on Twitter and have them look into it. It ends up being an accidental IP ban issue.

 

I noticed wave 3 deluxes show a mid June expected date now. I ordered Scorponok and Tracks just in case.

@RKillian, I see you have a site with some items for sale. Just crossed my mind, but I hope you weren't banned for being a reseller. I've heard Target has done that. I wonder if GS does too.

I'm gonna start scouring Targets if that's accurate. They way things go, they end up there before anywhere else.

 

It's more likely the DDOS thing. I had my (distributor level) reselling on a different e-mail, the site's up for two months in between these two-month outages, and I can still access my account via phone during them. It just conveniently tends to happen not far into a sale. Kind of a shame since GameStop restocks more than Walmart and Target combined.

 

GameStop has updated some figures from a hard "Release Date" to an "Expected Date", which is earlier on all accounts for these items.
