Because he's Charizard. A lot of people missed him apparently and unlike Mewtwo he didn't get a second run. Not worth the ridiculous prices he's going for.
Okay, so I've been looking at some Megaman X images on Google and I've noticed that there were a few things that were on display that supposedly never surfaced. Specifically, X-styled Mets and Vile's Ride Armor. Were they cancelled?
They probably weren't ever put into production in the first place. Bandai displays a lot of stuff at trade shows that never makes it into production. Dragonball Z Figuarts Nappa is one of them. They displayed a bunch of Sentai figures too and then never put them into production.
They're finally re-issuing Type 2 Zero! D-Arts Megaman Zero TYPE 2 Action Figure Reissue - Megaman Megaman X
Yes! I had been waiting on Amiami to open up some more preorders, but I'll happily pay like $6 more and get it from BBTS.
Well it's no D-Arts Charizard, but I found the 6" Mega Charizard X and Y by Tomy on Amazon today. Didn't know if I would have ever found them in the wild.
I saw they are re-issuing Wargreymon again. He's only $35 this time around. Is he going to be tiny or something?
Nah same figure. I have him on order from BBTS as well as Metalgarurumon, will make a nice display with Omnimon.
Glad I didn't buy him for the ridiculous price he was going for originally then! Unfortunately I bought Metalgarurumon online exclusive for way too much. :/
Well either MetalGarurumon or WarGreymon, but mainly WarGreymon. I knew these existed but I didn't really plan on getting any of them until I got the urge to break out my Digimon World games back when they announced the new series. Figured I should at least double check to make sure the Designer ones were staying exclusives before I buy anything, because they look really nice I just don't want to pay the after market prices. Thanks Ektris, ill just get the normal re-issue of WarGreymon.
Oh, right. The upcoming Metalgarurumon is the original designer's edition, though. (Not a reissue either; first time it's being done as the ODD. And since both versions were web exclusives in Japan, I don't expect to see any other runs of a Metalgarurumon in the future.)
