So, I recently got into the world of Custom TF's. My friend saw my first one (will post pictures in custom section soon) and she wanted me to paint her one for her birthday. Well, she told me she wanted one that looked "smart and cunning" and must be (in the end result mind you), an Autobot. I have no idea which bot I am going to use! What, in your opinions TFW, would be a good mould to use for this task? It can be from any currently available, or easily gotten off ebay/TFW marketplace, and definitely NOT a movie toy. Told you it was an odd question, haha! Thanks!
Possibly an Energon omnibot, most had pretty bland paint schemes and coulda done with some love. Generations Scourge could be another candidate for one, possibly as a bounty hunter-esque character.
That was my first thought as well, but Perceptor just looks like a nerd and not cunning at all. I think I would say Generations Blurr. The entire figure looks dangerous and cunning but his face gives off a geeky look. You could also try RTS Jazz but then again he just looks cool all the time.
Smart and cunning? An Autobot? Making a Punch/Counterpunch from a Sideswipe/Sunstreaker would probably fit that bill. Cept the remold for a custom head would be pretty difficult.
From universe Smokescreen's: This cunning robot's job is to distract, disrupt and confuse the enemy. He is a master of misdirection, skilled at making Decepticons look in exactly the wrong direction at just the perfect time. More than one Autobot sneak attack owes its success to the skill of Smokescreen. He enjoys playing games with the enemy, taking a huge amount of pleasure in the frustration they display. I think he has the perfect profile for what she asked for. How about making him in an updated rally deco? some car from this year's competition. You can look for a design that has a lot of blue and red on it.
devcon from gen. scourge would fit that bill imo, get rid of the facial hair and you're pretty close to his head sculpt
Great suggestions guys! Really loving the ideas floating through my head right now. I think right now I will go with Blurr, simply because it suits my friend better. However, I now want to find an extra Scourge for a Devcon! I mean... I have an extra Scourge, I have 3 extra Scourge, but they are my sweeps Although if any other suggestions come up, I am not going to turn them away just cause I said Blurr
