Great... so I probably missed my chance on this being that I've been away from the boards for a while. I just saw a video review for this from Peaugh and he has listed under the review, "shop at TFSource"... that's misleading cause you certainly can't buy this from them... at least I didn't see it there.

    I'd sell mine for $200.

    J/K, he's not for sale.

I can't believe that I just went through ebay and made a purchase for this guy! Anyone recognize the name Artfire2000 on ebay and can confirm he's a good person to buy from? I made the purchase already only cause it was the last one I could find but now am hoping I didn't just make a mistake. UGh.... haha.. the things we'll do for our plastic fixes. *sigh* If all is well and legit, I should have this guy in about a week.

Google the username. Then sit back and relax. You're in good hands.

Thanks for that! I actually did take a little bit of a look. I'm just overly paranoid about scams, ya never can be too sure. Was just hoping for confirmation. I should have it in hand by Tues or Wed.

My first time dealing with this mold. I can not for the life of me get the hood to close seamlessly over his head.

He hasn't bought me dinner, for one. [IMG]

I noticed the same thing in peaugh's Girder review... wasn't sure if there was an issue or if it was just a side effect of the video being rushed. I haven't had a problem with my Backdraft.

Well, I found part of the issue. The black piece at the base of the crane arm was pushing up against the hood pieces, and was preventing them from closing.

    IMG_3897.JPG

So, I made sure I rotated it down properly, and was able to get it closed much further, until I have to rotate the crane arm to plug into into the back slots... which causes the black piece to shove up against the hood again splitting it a bit.

I received him today. I'm having a lot of trouble with the hood. I can't get it to peg into the shoulders, nor can I get the two pieces to sit together.

Out of the box, he is missing something. Can you guess what it is?

Aside from all that, his QC is good. Btw he comes with another Backdraft head with yellow and silver paint.

Never mind, I think I figured out the hood problem. Those little green pieces that used to be part of the wings on Backdraft were getting in the way. I unfolded them and I was able to pull the black piece at the base of the crane arm out. Everything fits in much better now.

I still can't get the hood fully closed if the crane is plugged into the back. This is maddening.

Same, mine always has a few millimetres left, I can never get it completely closed. Think I might try sanding next, I can see that the parts are not getting enough clearance.

IMG_3921.JPG This is the best I could do.

So the issue is that the black piece that the boon rotates on is supposed to be "horizontal", but when I snap the boon into the peg holes in the back, it pops back up to about 10 degrees above the horizontal.
