I didn't realize it till now but it looks like I got two of the same head :-/

 

Hmm, that face is a bit disappointing in hand. That eye paint is *terrible*, and the mouth looks as though you are looking at it through a thick fog, it's so indistinct. But I also think that painting the part above the eyes grey, although cartoon accurate, makes him look like he's stone. Fingers crossed it looks better in other pictures, and that the red one is painted better, because I've really liked the face sculpt in every picture until now.

 

Got my Covert Ops Hellion today! It came in a plastic pouch so when my wife handed it to me she said "here's your drug package."

So what's the story behind the black version of Cliffjumper? Is this a real character?

 

Will there be copies available at TFCON Toronto? Will there be a different exclusive? It’s getting close and usually Ocular Max has a great repaint for the shows. I really love my Rally and Stealth Sphinx and was hopeful we would get something this year. A red hoist perhaps?

 

Think it's based off a keychain figure from Japan or something like that. It's not a character from a show to my knowledge.

Face paint is definitely messy on mine too.

Arm transformation is pretty neat.

Well, Takara MP cars all have somewhat realistic alt modes. No chibi examples thus far.

The thing is, both in the cartoon and toys, the g1 minibots were chibi, and the larger vehicles were all realistic. So if anything, Takara goofed by making MP Bumblebee realistic, and this Cliffjumper is a return to G1-accuracy.
