Why? Just because he did something shitty with it doesn't mean it wasn't an impressive feat.

And people do take too many selfies - it's such narcissistic bullshit, the internet won't miss having less of them.

Hell of a lot LESS unhealthy than letting my ex's asshole stalker have a free go at me since he's much bigger and much heavier...

And somehow I sense a job offer from the Japanese Intelligence and Security services at the end of all this.

I just find complimenting a pervert and insulting a victim kind of an odd reaction

I did neither. I never said what he did was ok, I said how he did it was impressive. Evil people can still do impressive things - it's what they do with those things that sucks.

As for her, where did I insult her at all? Read it again carefully.

Never said you said what he did was ok, just that you compliment him, which you definitely did, saying what he did was impressive. As for the second part, you're right, I used the wrong work. You didn't insult her, but you were negative to her, with your comment about taking too many selfies. All I'm saying is that it seems like a shitty reaction to say something positive about the clear bad guy I the situation, while also saying something negative about the victim. Obviously you're allowed to say whatever you want, I'm just expressing my opinion

I saw this on my timeline a few days ago. Fucked up but I'm not going to lie that human ingenuity continues to impress me. I wear glasses and now I worry about what kind of reflections the lenses will have on them, haha!

If it's crammed into your left kidney, how do you draw it when you need it...? That's the only part that I'm not getting... :D

Not literally, but Inside Waistband carry makes it feel like a 3# steel kidneystone. It was nice having somebody else pick up the dry-cleaning bills so I could regularly rock suit jackets and shoulder holsters...

I figured. I carry too but I do it at the 4 o'clock position. Much more comfortable for me.

8 o'clock and canted, but when you're 5'6" and packing a 5" Government Model even that only does so much. "Comforting but not comfortable," as the saying goes. LOL

It seems like an equally concerning reaction to be more upset about someone's reaction than the story itself.

What are you talking about? Obvously I'm upset about the story, hence my referring to her as a victim and him as a pervert. It's possible to care about two things simultaneously.

Grudging respect for a dangerous enemy's skill is NOT the same thing as squeeing fangirl-ism, just ask any soldier who went toe-to-toe with Iraqi insurgents.

I also want to clarify that my reaction wasn't just because of complimenting the pervert, it was because of both doing that AND saying it should be a lesson to not take selfies. I agree that what the guy did was impressive in a horrible way, it's the combination of saying something positive about the creep and saying something negative about the victim that bothered me

Social media is a stalker's skivvy-creaming wetdream, this is why I refuse to use it or even just give basic personal info at places like this, and work damn hard at being a "ghost." Back in my Executive Protection days, we had a few relevant sayings...
    1. Effective Counterintelligence is your FIRST and most important line of defense.
    2. When the weight of another's life is on your shoulders, anything LESS than paranoia is Rank Incompetence if not Criminal Negligence.

As much as it sucks I do agree to a certain extent. Social media is creepsville. You don't believe how many people wanna jump into my pants on my Instagram. But you gotta know the risks of social media use and the best way to protect yourself is to not do it at all.

Now granted the victim is an idol, isn't she? She's a public figure so there isn't much in the way you can do to prevent stalkers from happening. I'm just glad that I carry, that's all I gotta say. I may wanna be a femmy bitch boy but I don't roll over for creeps.
