Kicking things off is a new thread about obscure characters from the Transformers toyline that might deserve a shot at the small screen.

Let's kick things off with my suggestion; Dreadwind and Smokejumper. Released in 2004 as part of the Robots in Disguise line, Dreadwind and Smokejumper were army grey and olive green repaints of BB and Starscream from Beast Wars 2.

Now these guys always struck me as a ratbag mercenary duo. You've got the sleek scheming type in Smokejumper, who'll probably sweet-talk you into paying him your life insurance whilst painting a red target on your forehead for future reference. Than you've got Dreadwind, the big lug who might not be very bright, but knows how to make your life a living hell. And let's not forget his most valuable asset; his FOURTEEN MISSILES!

Add that with the fact their muted colour scheme allows them to infiltrate the obligatory human military forces without stretching credibility, and you could have a great henchman duo for any would-be Decepticon tyrant.

There are probably others that I can't think of at the moment, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

Aww, hell yeah! I remember him from the Klud story. The idea of a scorpion-themed Autobot Mad Scientist is a cool one, and something I wish could've been utilised in a future Transformers series.

 

I'm trying to think of a good one i genuinely like....

If we're going for any transformer, than I would say probably the Sea cons.....
You know, those guys that were super powerful but killed?
The combiner team of seabased transformers?
Nautilator, Overbite, Seawing, Skalor, Snaptrap, and Tentakill.
Those guys. They don't get too much love.

The Tripredacus Council because they never saw to much light.

Maybe that Arctic combiner team? I Don't remember their names...

 

Might be a couple but the one that really comes to mind is Sunstreaker. With how popular Sideswipe has become lately I'm surprised Sunny hasn't made an appearance yet.

 

Yes but I'd like him portrayed as the badass he was in Dreamwave.

YES! Specifically Furman's Thunderwing. He was an awesome villain from the comics.

I'm only talking about Sunstreaker since well aside from a few comics he hasn't had any role that I'm aware of since G1.

I only mentioned Sideswipe since he's Sunstreaker's twin and he's become more popular lately with the movies and RID '15. So I'm just waiting for Sunstreaker to show up to complete the duo.

 

Cybertron Crosswise needs more love.

 

I know this guy wasn't part of the toyline but I'd like him to be. I find him to be pretty cool.
