First Trailer For Tom Cruise-Starrer OBLIVION Released

Looks fairly good.

 

I think it looks pretty good. It's from the director of Tron: Legacy, so right away I'm excited. For those that don't know, that was his directorial debut and you have to admit that it's quite impressive for a first-time director. I'm hoping this could be the high-concept science fiction Prometheus tried to be (it succeeded in some ways, but there were some dumb things in such a smart movie).

 

The whole reason I came into this thread.

 

i expected a film about elder scrolls. but this doesn't look too bad.

 

I too thought 'A movie about the Elder Scrolls series, they kept that quiet'.

This isn't an Elder Scrolls movie? Booo.

 

that's okay. they better start with daggerfall anyways. i want ghosts in the movie that annoy the audience, and go "vengeance!!!" over and over again!

I think the trailer's officially released now.

But yeah, it appears to be an I AM LEGEND/live-action WALL-E mix.

 

I donno. Something about it gives off a sort of Water World feeling to me...Just not with as much water...

I'd rather prefer a Skyrim movie just for Alduin, Dovahkiin, Fus Ro Dah, and I can't believe I'm saying this... The arrow joke.

I've watched it on Saturday. If you're expecting heavy action based sci-fi film, don't watch it. It's a slow paced movie, heavily centered on the couple. It has a weak twist, bland Morgan Freeman character.

It is just a decent movie, not a masterpiece.

 

From a Technical standpoint, how would you grade Oblivion?

 

I wanted to see this, until I discovered Tom Cruise was in it. There's no way I'm putting any money in his pocket.

 

Tom Cruise? I thought it was staring Will Smith...
