Pretty impressive. Perceptor looks really nice. I'm in for all of it minus the Titan Masters.

Looks like some nice toys, if they weren't hobbled by the HeadMaster gimmick.

Well that's what confused me. Your first quoted bit of text doesn't seem to be there.

I think it's important to understand, that somewhere in the design there would've had to be a compromise in order to get a head that permanently stays on.....therefore, I'm cool with the headmaster gimmick; on non-head master characters.

As good as the Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders look, I'm most excited about the Legends. Kickback! Brawn!!!

    Wow.
    This a good lineup.
My 2c for some of them:
Broadside: Good looking bot and Aircraft Carrier modes. The micro aircraft are a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing the jet mode. I think it would have better as Leader Class, though.
    Black Shadow: Looks interesting.
Sixshot: Nice update of the original. I like the alt modes. The 'sub' mode is cute. ;)  I'll be getting this.
Optimus Prime: Looks ok. Waiting to seeing how Octane looks.
    Kickback: Looks good.
Brawn: I wasn't looking out for this one, but it's a nice surprise
Perceptor: An actual working microscope alt mode? Bought.
    Triggerhappy: Nice jet alt.
Twinferno: That dragon alt looks great. I know it wouldn't be g1, but I wish there was the option for regular hands in bot mode.

Ah, but while RTS Perceptor is a great toy, its shoulder tabs make me want to gouge out my eyes.

I get that. I'm hoping for an all-new Warpath someday. (I realized I'm an '85 guy, so I gave those '84 retools to my daughter. Brawn'll complete her set of "trucks".)

Probably because you have the member I quoted ignored. That's a new thing with the boards now.

That's OK, I can't understand the ridiculous attitude that merely existing makes a product good either.

I wonder, do you actually purchase these toys? Do you handle them, view them from different angles, or compare them to related figures? Go ahead, tell me how TR Galvatron isn't diminished by his face mask not sitting right and removing all head movement just so they can up the parts count in the most meaningless way. I know, I know, I'm not allowed to have never liked this gimmick. Guess what, I think Pretenders are stupid too >: P

They could've done targetmasters and powermasters and kept it true to the characters. Engineering wise i think it would've been much easier to have a targetmaster than a headmaster.

Okay, but, minus the headmaster gimmick (Which I loooooove personally because it's so much fun to swap heads around and COUGH PLAYWITHTHESETOYS COUGH), what part of any of these is bad? You said yourself that the gimmick was the only reason you didn't like it, and you never said why it was such a killer for you.

Some fans want something true to the original. If they released a Luke skywalker figure that came with Nun chucks and a machine gun you could imagine it might not go over well with some starwars fans.

Yeah that's not an apt comparison at all.

Repeated constant complaining from many of the same people doesn't make a product bad either.

How so? It's adding gimmicks to a toy where none is needed.

It's 2016, not 1986 like many love to point out. You want original, buy a G1 toy.

You have to pop zee head off and have a second tiny robot to play vith... Whoopee. Pop the head off and set it aside, I don't get the big deal, the rest is exactly the same as any figure before. Transform to alt mode and back again.

If it's partsforming...whoa holy hell, that's never been a part of Transformers...ever... Right?
