... is a solid blob of blue plastic, with almost no definition. But the magic that is acrylic paint can reveal that she's actually a pretty nice figure. The vehicle-mode Autobrand is a Reprolabels sticker, of course. One of the ones designed for G1 Micromasters. Better pics when I get my camera back. Right now, it's gone to Japan for a fortnight with a friend, so wonky phone pics will have to do. I'll also tack on a couple of netfabb screenshots: I've been doing a spot of work on improving her torso's show-accuracy and making her a weapon that better resembles that crossbow-esque blaster she wields in the show.
I am glad that these molds can be salvaged with paint...They are not too shabby, but the lack of paint is a huge let down on Hasbro's part. So this is as I stated earlier a Sweet custom...it's just a real shame that we have to pick up the slack. Again, Great Job mate!
It came from Shapeways . It fits reasonably well, with a slight gap at the bottom. I'm going to make a couple of alteration to my model to improve the fit, but I'll be busy for the next few days, so it'll haev to wait until new year.
I actually like the battle pack figures as they are loads better than the actual deluxes. What you did with the paint makes it so much nicer and gives it more life. Very well done!
Thank you. It really didn't take much work, and the result is so worth it. I agree also that some of the battlepack figures have been a nice surprise. I'm keeping my eye on the rest when they come out, to see if any other are as nice as Strongarm.
Finished the Chestplate. The fit isn't quite perfect, and it could do with hanging a millimeter lower at the bottom. The version that's going on Shapeways will have both those issues fixed. Oh yeah, the cross-bow's there, too. I'm happy with both of these items.
