    Overall grade = C

Some very good molds but a lot of bad/mediocre ones.

A lot more impressed than I thought I would be for the most part.

Ones that were about what I thought.
Chromia- The turd that I thought it would be
Wheelie- Different, interesting, unreal how big the bot is from how small the car mode is. This guy will stay as a car.
Sideswipe- Great figure. would like a little more posability, but that is a small gripe.
Leader Prime- Fantastic, outside of the hands that don't open and no rubber tires. But great upgrade from the first one. Everything you expected.
Leader Megs- About what I expected, decent posability, gimp arm goofy

    Good Suprises-
Skids- A lot better than I anticipated, the big hand and goofy head arnt that bad in person, and he has some nice lines in Bot mode.
Voyager Fallen- Colors look a lot better in person. Would like to find a good pose of him flashing in like in the trailer
Demolisher- I wasn't looking for much, but what he is was better than expected (but I had low expectations).

    Worse-
-Starscream- this version of the flying Dorito is still better than the past one, but his arms are goofy, his chest has a lot of holes, and (unless I am transforming him wrong) I don't like the back setup.
-Soundwave- Really small. Strange arms, just looking for more out of a popular figure like him. I still hope for an earth mode, cause this thing could only be a king amongst midgets.

From a stand point of only having Legends, Basics, Deluxes and Voyagers: I'd agree with a C. I hate the Mechalive crap. I feel like I'm gonna break the damn things trying to transform them. Some of the figures are just weird (Demolisher and Rampage) with no real feet or way to stand them up. Others like Soundwave are nice robots, but a jumbled mess trying to transform them. Bumblebee falls apart if you look at him and won't transform flush. But their are some standouts like Ransack, Dirtboss, Knockout, Sideways, and Sideswipe that are great figures. I think the line is overall hit or miss.

I need the deluxes like Wheelie, Skids, Mudflap, etc and the Leaders to make a more accurate rating, but overall it has some nice standouts, but could have been better.

    Still not my thing.

The vehicle modes look really nice, but the robot modes just don't seem to click with me.

Maybe if we get some figures in later waves that seem to bridge the gap between the movie look and a more traditional look I might give one of those a shot or if the film can somehow make a character a must have in any style I might give them a shot. But for now it's picking them up, going eh, and putting them back on the peg.

I got Sideswipe, the only one from the entire first wave I want, except Leader Prime but I'll get him eventually. Haven't opened him but the car mode is indeed nice which is the real reason I bought it.

well ill admit his transformation frustrated mem at first but once you get him to bot mode and get his feet positioned correctly hes got amzing balance, the wheel feet do bother me but only a little. out of the entire first wave deluxes, hes the only i bought and the only one that seemed worth it, i may be swayed to getting sideways, and just maybe barely the twins but sideswipe has alot of win

i might have bought my first and last ROTF figure, still pissed about animated getting shafted, i decided to get sideways, very disapointed. what the hell is up with those tiny feet? he can hardly stand up. feels really flimsy, i dont really see him standing up to a kid playing with him. but i did make the mistake of opening him after i opened Chris and Sheva from resident evil 5. those figures are awesome in every way. Sideways never really had a chance

    I give it a solid B+.

The ones I picked up (Prime and Megatron, Fallen and Starscream, and most of the deluxes) have been really nice save for a couple issues here and there. I would have liked to have seen better feet on Sideways and Sideswipe (more Sideswipe) and better arms on Megatron. Otherwise I am quite happy.

Haha, I have to agree about Chris and Sheve- well, particulalry Chris. Neca outdid themselves for a $13-$15 figure. But, that's not what this thread is about. ROTF figures so far are no more or less then what I expected. Leader Prime is amazing and I would say pushing the boundaries for his pricepoint. Sideswipe is a better sports car 'bot then Jazz, but not perfect. Soundwave is ok, but since he's all that's available for Soundwave, that's what I got. However, I didn't buy a lot of stuff, and essentially it's because their looks doesn't appeal to me AND I have little room for displaying MORE figures.

So, I would say thus far it gets a C+. It's a good line engineering wise, but it just has a lot of eyesores.

i took another look at sideswipe to see how to work out a better stance for him. well basically what you need to do is position his feet so that the large bumper piece on the front is up against the front of his leg and leave the feet that way. then just position the knees and hips however you need to get him standing. it makes for alot more stability. i can smack my hand down on his shelf now and he wont fall over. try that out

I'd grab Skids but the chipping would just outweigh getting him here. Sell them in a lot on junkion.

I was playing with Sideswipe a bit. he's pretty cool. I like that he doesn't have any of that "automatic" transforming gimmick the first movie figures had. My Bumblebee has warped rear quarter panels from that. The feet bother me because you have to balance him on his heels and his toes just stick straight up. However, he stands pretty well. Overall I'm happy with my $10, wait $12 purchase.

So far I hate it! I bought 3 & had to return 2.

Ransack. LOVE the vehicle mode but hate the goofy robot mode. Also hate that they packaged him in robot mode. I prefer them to be packaged in alt mode.

The Fallen. As soon as I opened him the foot popped off & wouldn't stay on. I had to take it back to Target to get another one. But they didn't have any more on the shelf. I had to do a lot of talking to get the guy to go in the back to bring more out. he said he'll go bring a case out but if The Fallen isn't in it them I'm shit out of luck. They're not allowed to go in the back & search for certain figures. Blah blah. I got another one but now I'm trying to transform him & his shoulders are stuck. Feels like I'm gonna break it if I put any more force on it.

Soundwave. No way to lock anything down in alt mode. It was the floppiest TF I ever bought. And totally loose. Every time I moved one part the whole thing came apart. I couldn't get it to hold together in alt mode to dsave myself. I got pissed off & returned it & got my money back. I never had to do that before & I've been collecting these things since 1984.

So far I hate this line. They're charging more & the quality is getting worse. I'm going to give the leaders a chance but I'm staying away from the rest.

So far I give it a solid D-.:(  Totally disappointed!
