Ok so when we first heard of ROTF Arcee, we thought that she was a single character that could just split herself into three smaller versions.

Then came along the list and the blue bike listed as Chromia. This started making us think that they were three separate characters and the pink bike was Arcee.

Now the comics and the novelization seem to point back to the first theory. It suggests that all three bikes are "Arcee" and they have a single mind and can combine (like pretty much everyone else in the movie... watch us get a Ratonhide or a Sidejolt :mad )

But in any case, Chromia's bio says that she and Ironhide have a kind of boyfriend/girlfriend relationship (like in G1) and that they are happy to be reunited. If Chromia is 1/3, then would Ironhide really be dating all three of them? I really don't get this. I will HAVE to see the movie on release day to answer this and many other nagging questions on my mind. Can't...shake...off... needs the 24th....NOW! :banghead:

*dreams* :bay  *wakes up*  *not 24th* :banghead:

So, you're wondering if Ironhide's a pimp? Is that what you're asking?

I'm anxious just to know if the deluxe toys will combine.

Movie - All 3 bots are the same entity, Arcee.

Toys - Given different names and different bios because they can't sell each one individually and call them all Arcee.

    Thats my guess.

I'm with the shared mind aspect, and that Chromia's bio is nothing more then sheer fanwank.

That wouldn't really work with trademarks/copyright.
There's nothing on chromia's card back about combining.
    Maybe in instructions.
Hasbro will probably do same thing they're doing with constructions.
3 individual bikes with robot/vech modes that don't combine.
And then a combining set without robot modes.
    Make everybody buy 2 sets.

I reckon the individual components have just been given names so it's easier to sell them as toys, and that the actual Arcee is the 3 bikes combined. The robot modes are just individual drone modes possibly.

How about you just relax and let the movie tell you when it's time?

Well, they could sell them as a packaged deal and say "Here is Arcee when she separates herself" and not confuse people with "are they separate or not?" I was hoping that Arcee was her own character and Chromia and purple were separate too, but if they HAD to combine, then why not make them like the Constructicons? They are all their own bots, but they combine to a single mind named "Arcee" (I would rather have them all separate but better than calling them all Arcee and stuff") And if the toy movie minds and names thing is true, then what to call the red/pink bike... Firestar? (she was red right?)

I think that is exactly what they wanted to avoid. Too much of the same thing. There is a lot of combining in this movie and it would be a bit silly if they ALL worked liked Devastator. Highlight to see spoilers. The twins started as one protoform that split in two with two seperate sparks. Arcee is one bot with one spark that can split into three. Jetfire's merger with Prime is done more to rebuild and upgrade prime. And Devastator is just like Devastator, the combination of several, individual bots with their own sparks to form a larger one.

Just because the sisters finish each others sentences, doesn't necessarily mean that they share the same mind. It could simply be a character quirk.

Think about it: The Twins argue with one another, Jazz talks like a rapper, and The Sisters complete each others sentences.
It's definitely not outside the Realm of Possibilty

I think Arcee is just a single bot like Chromia, i don't even think they combine at all. that little connector thingy under the Chromia's bike mode may just be a way to interconect their vehicle modes. you know...for display, and if they did combine...well...we'll just have to wait till June 24th.

Ok, so I have a theory on the bikes....So, starters, I think that the missing one in the 3 is Beta. She was one of a three of a group female bot fighting squad on one of the comics I beleive. So, then Im thinking, what if each bot represents a PORTION of the hive mind. So for example, Chromia may show the remonatic side of Arcee. Beta may represent the warrior portion of the 3, and Arcee is the leadership portion, and therefore is the one that is the stronger, and makes most of the decisions for the 3 while in combined (or even sperate) mode. Also, the names are in an ABC fasion as well, Arcee, Beta, Chromia. May sound weird, but I think it is kinda cool. May be a litlle too thought into, but its nice that there is still a lot of stuff in this movie that we probably havent seen yet, and therefore we can have fun speculatng.

We know they combine. They do in the book, they do in the comic. And the book made it clear they are one robot.

Did the book make it clear they are one mind? I don't remember reading that.

no we won't, there has already been plenty of info saying that they combine, including the novelisation.

I wonder what Arcee (combined) will look like? I mean the motorbike...

I had a weird dream that blackouts head got cut off and he just got up kicked wheelies head off and used wheelies head and wheelie did the same with other autobots and they kept doing it xD

    I know. weird!
