I might have to snag at least the first issue of go-bots.

Really digging how the Go-Bot story sounds from that solicitation.

Gonna definitely pick up the first issue and check it out.

 

It sucks that there’s no regular Transformers comics. Unless they want to just integrate them as Transformers, I have absolutely zero interest in Go-Bots.

 

I have no real connection to the Go-Bots, like everything non-TF from IDW.

But, this sounds great. Mecha as a “Practice of Everyday Life” could be really sweet.

Though, I’d just like more TF Space Opera, and I don’t need any Trekkies for that. Still, I’ll read it digitally, but I have no interest in the trades.

Finally, my loftiest fantasy would be a “Call of the Primitives” side series sticking beast bots and cons in Trypticon to go off on space adventures and fight monsters even more terrifying than them.

 

If Milne was drawing Go-Bots I would be in.

As it stands now, I’m not giving either comic one red cent.

 

Well I gotta admit I didn’t know a thing about go-bots until I saw the “toys that made us” documentary, but this does look like  a decent bit of filler if nothing else before the IDW transformers 2019 reboot, and at least we’re getting transformers comics with T. Vs S.T. until the end of the year.

 

Plot twist: the new Go-Bots comic is the Transformers reboot!

 

Well, it is nice that they will give a new and distinc origin to the Go-Bots to separate them from the Transformers, it will be good filler until the 2019 reboot.

 

Makes you wonder if the new Go-bots comic will have them beating up Transformers stand-ins left and right.

 

Will this mark the return of the Go-Bots podcast? Has their time come at last?!?!?

 

Gee, I never thought I'd see the day when I'd really be excited for Gobots fiction. As it is, I can't wait!

 

So glad they are making the GoBots terrestrial..
Gobotron would be a great name for a rising tech company.

 

It'd be amusing if, in this new Go-bots universe, Transformers appeared as a fictional inspiration for the creation of these robots. Or perhaps Transformers is the name of a media franchise based on the real 'product'.

I love meta like that., In my old fanfiction, Transformers was exactly that, a toyline that came to fruition after years of conspiracy and urban myth..Spike was looked at as the crazy old man claiming it was all true.

 

It almost feels wrong to see a G1-style Megs with a Decepticon symbol on an IDW cover at this point.
