That might be one of the most disgusting things a human being has ever done.
Fake Suicide? That’s not funny, bitch.
I've lost count of how many bipolars have pulled this exact same stunt on forums Facebook counts Myspace pages and any other social media across the internet for the last 20 years
Is it really possible in this day and age to fake one's death?
Well, this is certainly going to be a bloodbath.
What are the legal ramifications of faking one’s death?
That’s exactly what I was thinking. My brother was in a really good band that went to hell because of the lead singer’s antics. They all remained friends. He was always moving around within the US, so no one saw him regularly. About ten years ago, he made everyone think he died through a FB post. A local newspaper used to post mugshots, and I saw his face a coupe of years later. He was arrested for loitering and resisting arrest (he was a street magician). I told my brother. He contacted the bassist for bail money. No one talks to him now.
Legally? Nothing AFAIK. They raised money and such for her, however, so lawsuit is probable.
I have a friend who pretended to be someone he's not on an MMO within his online 'guild', and then made that persona 'die', greatly upsetting the people he was playing with. It was later revealed, and he got hella shit for that.
I was so disappointed in him, when he told me. (I don't play MMOs)
That's a whole other level of fucked up.
Too bad she can't fake being a good writer...
Lol, reminds me of when a user tried to pull the same gambit here.
I guess in a community where people aren't fairly close and where interactions are solely online, you can sort of imagine that move might work but I can't expect anyone would be able to come back and not expect a thermonuclear backlash for that kind of lie.
People are really, really, disgustingly desperate for respect sometimes. Imagine seeing people offering respect for the dead and being like "oh, I want that. Let's get me some of that."
That's a baller move, although I can't help but feel that, if you just want to take a break from writing or whatever, it's a bit easier to just tell your audience you're going on an indefinite hiatus.
Which one is actually alive who had someone claimed they died?
They ain't here no more.
That's just disturbing, and not even funny. It's like saying 'I want attention, give me it!'
Separate names with a comma.
