So who is it? Made his head in about a hour one night, the next day attached it to Bumblebee and mix up a shiny red to make the flames.(wanted to homage the G2 version as well as the original) I am unsure if i want to add any red to the head. what do you guys think? o yeah i took the pics with a nintendo dsi For those who missed it he is hubcap http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Hubcap_(G1).
HUBCAP! XD Hubcap is probably one of my favorite Guys Nobody Cares About. (Well, that's not true - Greg "M "Something Goes Here" Sipher" Sepelak and Trent Troop care about him, and put him in that great Club story a while back.) I like the helmet design, but IMHO he really really needs to be smiling, or at least smirking. He's a shady con-man type, you know?
He has bumblebees face so he in fact is smirking(well more of a slight smile), it is just hard to see it in the pic. It was the club story that inspired me to do this(he is getting a friend soon enough). I am glad to see that you like it.
Heh, it's funny that you mention making him a friend... I'm afraid I beat you to it. You could probably sacrifice an actual G1 Jackpot head for this, but I figured it wasn't worth it and just resculpted Prowl's own noggin. (This would also work best with Silverstreak, since he's mostly already black once you strip a lot of his paint.) ETA: Also, I love that you pulled off the spoiler. Good show.
Thats a cool looking custom and fairly close on what i plan on doing paint wise. I plan on making a custom sights to go with him.
Cool. BTW: Nice job on the head sculpt - when i first saw it, I would have SWORN you used a RiD Wedge head.
very nce, i want to do a hubcap sometime soon. i like the red flames that homage his g2 design, now if you could have them be chromed red that would have been even more amazing. great job overall though.
Hubcap Though it cant be seen in my pics the red is shiny i mixed it my self...chromed red would be better though.
