Actually, Shockwave is supposed to show up at some point in the show, and also be voiced by the same guy that voiced him in G1. What he'll look like, or what kind of character he'll be, we don't know, but hopefully he gets a toy of his own. As for Lugnut and his name, I really like the character, and think the name fits him well. For those who don't like the name, you could always use the nickname he picked up on Cybertron. The Kaon Krusher, which also fits him, imo. I wouldn't mind seeing a Leader class toy of him. That way Leader Bulkhead would have someone to go up against.

How would the Headmaster fit on a leader class Lugnut?

Lugnut also makes him seem really stupid. As we saw in 'Lost and Found' he was keeping Blitzwing in check. He seemed to be leading the rescue. I think his fanatic, but not stupid. I think Blackaracnia's comment in 'Transform and Roll Out' made him seem stupid from the off, though he may be quite bright.

Actualy, I'm pretty sure he's smarter than cartoon Shockwave.
Hell even Grimlock is smarter than that Shockwave.

I was thinking maybe a cooler name would be Bombardment or perhaps Barrage since he can use those awesome missile salvos.

Yeah, his name doesn't really suit his personality - I don't think he is as much of a dumb brute as you would think. He seems to know combat tactics and such and, even if he is extremely loyal to Megs-the-Head, he is more than just a "big dumb Decepticon"
