I'm down for whenever just let me know what works
I’m free this Friday if this is a thing
Aren't you out of town until the 24th, Henry?
Yeah. Haha. Also out the weekend of the 2nd.
Doodle Poll for Summer Meetup
Probably not making the next meetup, or any future meetups. Moving to Missouri within the next month.
Sorry to hear you will be missing out, but Congratulations on the new opportunity. Did you land the job that you wanted out there? I'm sure you won't miss I95 one bit.
Yep, the position finally opened after 4 years of patiently waiting. House was up for sale less than 8 hours and already under contract. We either really know how to make a house presentable or we're really lucky with selling houses. I'll miss our get togethers but sure as hell will not miss commuting 10+ hours a week for work.
Wow that was fast (the contract, not the job). Hopefully you can stick around until the 10th or 17th when we'll meet up again (looking more likely the 17th). If you can make either of those days work, I say that's the day we go with.
10th is a possibility, 17th I'll be in Missouri in my temporary lodging of an RV
Damn man, who's gonna break all the samples now?
Just mail them to me and I'll do my best
Let's aim for August 10th then - if it turns out Chad cannot make it, we can bump it back the 17th. Since it would be Chad's last meetup, I recommend we look somewhere between Woodbridge and Springfield.
@Chaddicus Any preference on a location for the 10th?
Somewhere with room to put figures on a table. Last two places were too crammed.
There's a few places I can think of that would have either large tables or tables that would easily move around in the Woodbridge area:
Bon Chon (we met here once)
Bar Louie (we met here once)
Chuy's (we met at one in Fairfax once)
Bahama Breeze (might not be a good choice for Jason)
In Lorton there's a Vinny's Italian Grill that can handle a large group well.
The El Paso in Springfield was a cramped building. The Glory Days Grill in Lorton mainly had bar style small round tables which were not fun. The Ole Sheeban in Fairfax was pretty tight too.
District BBQ in Dunn Loring had long tables.
