Alright folks, I couldn't find a thread on this. Since I really like additional G1 related "details" in my collection I'm curious about what you work into your displays. Maybe we can inspire each other! Let me start with a few pics...

Stacks of energon cubes, the odd matrix accessory... and of course iGear Shadow Assasin/Nightbird. NB wasn't a transformer in the toon so no need for a made up alt mode for her.
Oh and my daughter keeps sneaking the SD model kits from Kotobukiya on my shelf because she likes to play Mummies and Babies with MP-10 & Apollyon and the little SD figures.

    is that a WST Blaster?[/QUOTE]
Yep! It's better than the one that came with MP Tracks.
Totally forgot about the key to V.S.! You got the Botcon version or the one that came with the MP10 reisse?
My pleasure. Like I said, I'm looking for inspiration! I've had so many ideas from cool pics on these boards, so I thought I might share some of my setups.

There is a few things there I didn't even know existed as figures.
I have some of various non-transforming accessory things - when I saw the thread title I thought it would be asking about things like bottle caps and Kabaya kits that don't transform or the premiums figures & statues or even the Japanese Headmaster dolls.

I did say recently I'd rather like a display piece of the Planet Cybertron and Unicron in Planet mode to allow for better screen accuracy,

I've got a fair few of the Impossible toys items, some Allsparks in various sizes, some Energon cubes (sort of- they are actually light up ice cubes but they stand in perfectly) - I rather like those clear rubick cubes Sir toys has as they make terrific energon cube stacks.

Also there was ways to re-purpose that work too like a Beanie baby display box makes a great cloaking grid for Mirage.

But to address the General point for the most part the non-transforming things I have are Impossible toys, Robot Heroes, Rescue Bots Humans and robots, some odd takara oddities and a few Q-Robo Mini-figures and a lot of 3rd party weapons of course.

I never really got into HOC for example but I do have a modest number of MEGA SFC's and Revoltech going forward I'd like to get a small camera mode Reflector - which is something I don't have yet.

lol. The collectors plague. Looks like they are all in need of a bubble bath. Don't feel bad. Every day I look at my figures/shelves (600+) and think the same thing. It's just a matter of doing it. Something odd about giving your toys a bath though.

What is the easiest way to get rid of dust like that? I'd be afraid to dip mine in water and sometimes a Swiffer or whatever just doesn't seem to cut it completely.

Unscented baby wipes work beautifully. They are just damp and have a mild cleaning agent so they don't soak stickers.
