So one of the things I love about IDW is that they've gone through and taken characters from other Transformer franchises and placed them in their G1-inspired universe. Some of the choices have been controversial (Rattrap as Starscream's Starscream who tortures Windblade comes to mind) but others have been quite fun, like Sky Byte.

That got me thinking about what other characters I'd love to see IDW take a look at and give new spins to in their little part of the Transformers Universe. Here are some of my choices:

Beast Wars

Blackarachnia and Silverbolt- With fembots introduced as well as the vision Windblade had of a Fuzor world, I would love so very much for us to meet these two, especially if they joined the cast of More Than Meets the Eye. Just imagine these two on the Lost Light, turning heads and making Swerve and Skips debate how such a bad girl and a heroic guy could end up together. There might be a small problem with having a second Silverbolt... but if we can have Fat Tankor and Regular Tankor, I think we can have Silverbolt and Nont-Jet Silverbolt.

Dinobot- Another character I would love to see. Again, issues with the name but I could easily see several solutions, such as Dinobot being a former member of the Dinobots who, believing his team dead, took on the team name as his own name to honor them. I think he'd fit well with the other Dinobots, especially with Grimlock out with the Scavengers.

Megatron II- This I am sure would be a controversial one but, if done right, would be amazing. I would LOVE it if they introduced Beast Wars Megatron as a sort of 'Pretender to the Throne'. He is on another planet, using a robotic T-rex form, claiming to be the original Megatron and using the name to rule his own little group of Decepticons.

Beast Machines

Jetstorm- Yeah, what can I say... I just love this character. He seemed a bit like the Joker of the Transformers universe. Not the crazy Joker... more of the "I am going to make jokes while I kill you" version. With us already getting two Tankors, I'd love for Jetstorm to appear... maybe as a rival to Starscream's rule?

Strika- I think I speak for many fans when we say we want her to appear. I would LOVE IT if Strika appears on Caminus as their supreme military commander

Animated

Bulkhead- Another that I think a lot of people would like to see. I'd love for IDW to take Bulkhead and blend his Animated and Prime personalities together and give us a truly interesting character. Bonus points if he ends up on Cybertron with Wheeljack

Prime

Knockout- Yeah... I'm not throwing out that many surprises, am I? I know we got a small glimpse of him via Windblade but I'd love for the Decepticon's doc to appear... mainly because its nice that, for once, the Cons have a doctor that isn't a raving monster.

Lesse, Strongarm seems a natural for Caminus.

 

Beast Wars-Dinobot. I feel like he would be a hard fit which is what would make him great.

 

Beast Wars 2's own Predacon Count Duke Megastorm also BB be there too.

Just one - Animated Prowl, who may share a name but has nothing else to do with G1 Prowl. I wish they'd had different names so they could be treated as more distinct characters.

Hm, if Animated-Prowl adopted another name, sorta like Dent did, what would it be...?

 

Beast Wars Rampage, who'd totally fit as an Autobot experiment at replicating the Phase Sixers.

 

A simple variation like: "ProwleR" might work, but...I think he should rather adopt a completely different name, like "Zencycle" or something.
