Actually, there is more proof for them being siblings then not. Prime refers to Megatron as "brother" after Sam kills him with the AllSpark, and the Fallen says that only a Prime can kill him, so the same should be for Optimus. Since Megatron killed Optimus, he must be a Prime too, which would make sense if they were related. No one said it was a good plot point, but there is some basis if Sentinel turned out to be the father of both of them.

if the Sentinel Expedition in ROTF was a little reference for something in TF3 maybe before Sentinel left Cybertron he & whoever else took a piece of his spark & they divided it to become 2 sparks, one for Optimus & one for Megatron so they would be left in charge of Cybertron/Cybertron's military command while Sentinel was gone; if the whole Megatron is Optimus' brother/Sentinel Prime being Optimus Prime's father isn't just random nonsense/misinformation

 

Going on what Nelson said, I'm inclined to go with Rodimus but I hope its Magnus... That in mind I must stop reading spoilers & fantalk, I did that b4 ROTF and pretty much knew how the whole damn movie would pan out as I was watching it.

We know we're getting Silverbolt. We don't know what Silverbolt will be. We don't know who the fire truck is.

Maybe Primes can only be killed by anyone who has Prime-"blood" running through his veins, but Optimus isn't a full-blooded Prime now, is he? Let's say that Optimus is, like, the 10th descendant of a Prime, then he's more non-Prime than he is Prime. So that is why you don't have to be a Prime to kill him.

And Optimus obviously didn't mean that they were relatives, but it's pretty obvious that they were pretty close up until the point that Megatron founded the Decepticons. Damn, there are TONS of people saying "brother" to someone who isn't a real relative of them.

 

That may be. I really don't care if they are related or not, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they spring Daddy Sentinel and the Prime boys on us in the 3rd movie the way things have gone so far.

Anybody ever figured out robot reproduction,cloning,"Female" transformers or what?
They do seem to hatch and start out small but die without energy?
They must be nanites merged into a larger chassis?
I wonder if Bay will get this explained between the explosions?
