Interesting new pics. From what I see I think his bot is formed from the cab (legs) and front half of the trailer (torso and arms).

my design has in his cabin robot mode and 50% of the trailer, sees the truck mode is also scaled with mp10


In reference to the possibility of combining:
(at) the time the design is intended to be a single figure, however if in the future must respond to the request of a sponsor that requires the figure can be combined, I will make my design changes to make this possible. thank you very much for commenting.

Beyond the toon accurate bot mode we already see for Motormaster I am really hoping the guess about the rear half of the Motormaster trailer folding around somehow to become a toon accurate chest for Menasor is accurate as well. As I really liked Menasor in the old cartoon, but it always bugged me how the toy looked so vastly different. So seeing this guy in combined mode with full toon aesthetics will REALLY make my inner child very happy after all these years.

I honestly hope this company knocks this figure out of the park an this goes on to score us EVERY combiner in a toon accurate aesthetic for our MP shelves.

 

It appears to be the work of a solo designer, who is looking for a company to license and sell the design to.

The basics look good.

However, still very much unrefined.
I usually rant against 3P designs with a redundant amount of surface details such as too many ridges and bevels; but this Motormaster definetely needs some more detail. Especially the cab of the truckmode needs more realistic truck details, such as subtle bodywork panel lining and rounded corners.

He'll either need to create that detail in high poly/ subdiv in his current 3D app, or he needs to sculpt it in Zbrush.

Another new video was also just posted showing off the design of the figure from the front and also the back of the body. In the video we get to see front and back and a cut in half view of the figure in bot mode which gives us a clearer idea of where and how all of the parts will move too when in bot mode and how the joints would function!

Looks nice imo. I hope he can get a good producer and perhaps some toy industry veteran, to "proof-read" his design.

 

That looks great, but I have zero interest in a G1 motor master that doesn't combine. Makes no sense to me. I'm sure others would agree.

 

Yeah, I see no point in having a G1 Motormaster that doesn't combine.

 

The more I see the more interested I am. If he can fold his trailer into bot mode and still have cargo space for a TT size auto, Im impressed. I have wanted a combiner stunticon with an MP or better aesthetic for a while but this guy has my attention combiner or not.

Ive been really bored as of late with so many offerings but no cybertronian fembots or combiners. Its kind of refreshing to see someone put in so much work into a difficult to design character. Some characters do not present as many challenges as others and this guy certainly does.

Does anyone have any sunbow shots comparing prime to motormaster?

 

Are these the guys who are doing the MP-Menasor

 

Just funny how it says Intellectual Property on a vid of a not character of whom the actual character already is someone else's IP.

I already have a Menasor, don't need a MP sized version of any of them, that said, I'd love to see a prototype.

 

So is this actually being made or is this just a idea? Looks awesome and I would buy it! Is this even going to combine?

 

Only been a few months since reveal, at the pace most 3Ps work at, we probably won't see a pre-order for quite a while, haha, so I wouldn't worry just yet.

A few posts up the designer said that this Motormaster is a standalone - not meant to combine. Kind of odd, I think.

 

I love how unheard of companies are jumping in to make these complicated figures. I would prefer a more experienced company tackling this, with a proven track record of quality. This may turn out great, but No one is going to take the chance on such an expensive figure without reviews. This is a recipe for disaster.
