I believe Nitro Zeus deserves a better back story. I remember when playing as Constructacon in the Transformers: Decepticons game that was released in conjunction with the 2007 movie, many of the selectable vehicle modes resulted in the robot mode's appearance being cycloptic and heavily-built, reminding me of Nitro Zeus. Perhaps I can base a story on the events of that game. It would be interesting to introduce Nitro Zeus earlier into the cinematic storyline.

 

Of course! I just wish that he spoke. Maybe he too could've had a personality besides "valiant hero". And wasn't I the person who brought that up? I'm fuzzy on the time period directly after TLK's release. The scene with the four ladies fried my brain cells for at least half a month.

 

They made the Payload MV1 Deluxe off of that base design, and used something like the helicopter chassis in the console version as a terrible Movie Shockwave (further distancing that game from the canon).
Edit: They literally ripped the model from the DS game and recolored it for the boss battles in the console ones.

 

Shockwave's design in the 2007 game resembles that of his appearance in the Cybertron series of games, which are by far the best of the videogames, from my own perspective. And yes, I definitely see a resemblance in Payload of his DS design. I wonder if that figure is still available...

 

They remolded Payload into Dispensor. That's something. What I was saying about the Shockwave model fiasco is that the console one may not have been intended to be Shockwave, as the DS helicopter baddie literally was the same design. I can see the WfC/FoC comparison a little bit, but I see a basketball player Whirl.

Mv1: Villains with attitude.

Mv2: weak/hideous monstrosities.

Mv3: wasted by writer incompetence.

Mv4: stinger was the only interesting one that should've been another Decepticon rather than a "drone".

Mv5: averaged improvements.

I will definitely take a look at that Dispensor. Payload's design is outstanding, as is Nitro Zeus'. It is unfortunate Hasbro did not release a Legion-class Nitro, as that is the scale of figure I collect, but I will definitely get Nitro Zeus Voyager-scale.

Shockwave from the console version does look like the Attack Copters and Stealth Copters from the DS. I definitely agree with you on that one.

Nitro Zeus was my favorite thing about the The Last Knight. It was just great to see another Decepticon with a jet alt-mode in the movies.
Flying with Megs and transforming, it all looked awesome. I like the design, it's made me take a longer look at the KSI styles that I never paid much attention to in AOE. He's a flying Decepticon, is kind of a sassy character and has a great looking Voyager class toy coming out so Nitro will always stand out to me among the movie Cons.

He's one of the only alright things about TLK, according to many fans here (I'm also inclined to agree). Be glad that these forums aren't like most people are on Instagram, where everyone loves the movies as if they're modern classics and worships Sideswipe for whatever fuckin' reason. If I had more foresight, I would have named myself something different, but I guess I'm stuck as is.

 

I always look at the instagram fans as "yes-mans", you can't trust them for solid opinions because they will always sugarcoat around it to trick you into thinking that it's not bad. they love TLK like its the greatest film of 2017 and they always manipulate people to watch the film to "form their own opinion" as if Michael bay deserves a chance or its worth 15$ to 30$ over any other films. Viacom supporters in a nutshell.

I suspect it had something to do with that. Then again, the Cloud Starscream is also a tank and Cloud Rodimus can be a helicopter (as they're T30 triple changers)

 

For Rodimus, I think he's primarily a nod toward IDW. Springer's head has some resemblance and the car mode fit okay. The chopper mode is just an added bonus.

Dunno what the heck Starscream is inspired from other than someone thought they needed a decent voyager Screamer and Blitzwing fit the bill...and again, tank is a bonus.

 

I wish we American losers had Cloud stuff, or even wish that they'd make new Cloud figures. I also really don't understand the line, somaybe it could be redone and made into a new GDO. Imagine a line of Generations/movie repaints/remolds. I want to see HO Bee become Windcharger, an RotF Brawn with a G1 head color scheme (because the FE redeco was cancelled and looked shite anyway), maybe a set of MV1 game-colored deluxes, featuring accurate Swindle, Dreadwing, Dropkick, Salvage, Camshaft, Payload and Deadlift. What? I'm the only person who'd buy that? Shut up.

 

I would say that Nitro Zeus hype was better than Bumblebee hype, from my own perspective.

 

Has anyone noticed that every time Bee kills a con he goes for the head. E.G. stinger, soundwave, nitro and others I can’t remember
