I don’t think I ever played any Castlevania on the Advance. I did play the 3 Castlvanias on the DS though and enjoyed 2 of them (I still haven’t beaten Order of the Ecclesia, and probably never will). So with Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin being enjoyable experiences, I’ll give the Advance collection a try.

Circle of the Moon was pretty good, and I did enjoy Harmony of Dissonance even if it has a lot of setbacks and easily the weakest of all the classic Metroidvanias, but Aria easily outclasses them all, it’s probably on par with SOTN as the best of that style imo

I would be super happy to see those games. Both because they're great games I'd love to have on Switch, and because it signals (along with the Advance Wars remakes) more interest in bringing games of that era back out.

At the same time though. Konami-make-an-actual-new-version-of-classic-2D-franchises-so-Kickstarters-from-ex-Konami-devs-aren't-the-closest-thing-to-them-that-we-ever-get challenge. :lol

While as I said before I'm probably one of the few people on Earth who's truly excited about this, this video I found today does a good job explaining why.

What they mentioned about the Fast and Furios "Cruisin" game on Wii also helped me remember why I was under the mistaken impression that the IP was sold off and had become a bastardized "in name only" franchise. And why I'm so happy to see that isn't actually the case.

The last Cruis'n game I played was Exotica, and after that I thought like I said that it was just kind of one of those dead trademarks that bounces from company to company and is no longer connected to its original lineage anymore. I had seen the arcade version, but didn't notice the Nintendo branding or that it was still even connected to Nintendo in any way, let alone to the original Midway devs who worked on the first games.

Here's some direct capture video of one of the arcade tracks and just how wacky they are and why I'm excited. :lol

Evidently it has a bunch of new tracks and modes in the Switch version, too. I love stupid, silly arcade racers with shortcuts and unlockables. My dream is actually for a Top Gear Rally port to happen someday, but I know it won't. So this is the next best thing for me. :lol

Forever Entertainment says it now has a publishing agreement with Nintendo | My Nintendo News

So they first got an agreement with Square Enix to remake some SE games. Now they also got an agreement with Nintendo.

    Hmmm..Nintendo exclusive SE remakes???

If they make a Panzer Dragoon Saga remake, they can basically take all of my money.

you could just get a large 30-40k mah power bank for much less. comes in handy for any mobile device and is about an extra 20 hrs of life for your switch since they can charge the switch battery while you play.

I also recommend this option. Unless you have a place that will take a used Switch for decent money, you're going to take a loss on the trade for not much more extended battery life, and no additional performance.

My physical copies of No More Heroes 1 and 2 came in today. I don't think I ever even got a shipping notice.

Been really enjoying the Monster Hunter Stories 2 demo so far. It's a more accessible MH game with turn-based battles. It feels like a Pokemon game in some ways, but with more depth and options. Honestly closer to what I wish 3D Pokemon games had evolved into. And kind of makes me double down mentally on why I found Sword and Shield so underwhelming personally. (I know that's sacrilege, but I can't help it :lol  Those are fun games, too. Just not what I was looking for.)

So, while this was always more or less assured, the UK Nintendo site confirms Pro Controller support for Skyward Sword HD, in case anyone was still wondering.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword soars onto Nintendo Switch!

The only reason it was even a question at all was that in every video, trailer, and ad for it outside of the above, they kept exclusively referring to handheld mode and Switch Lite every time they mentioned the new button controls. And while it was unlikely to exclude the Pro Controller, it's Nintendo. And sometimes Nintendo will just randomly Nintendo things for no good reason. :lol  (Such as not supporting certain games with Pro Controller in the past, like Super Mario Party.) So it's nice to have confirmation.

I didn't realize there were any 1st party games that didn't support the pro controller. Good to know.
