Same with the Pro-Controller. With the Switch Lite its worse, cause you can't replace your Joy-Cons.

Only controller that won't is a Gamecube controller with the adapter. However my friend uses this as his fix, but he still has to switch to the joy-cons if they ask you to use the - or + button.

And new Joy-Cons will still get drift, its not if, but when.

Nintendo have not fixed the product currently.

As someone who has broken open many controller the GameCube controller can have stick drift too. Internally the pro controller and the GameCube controller use very similar analog sticks. Technically all controllers (Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft) can have stick drift. They Joycons break faster due to their small condensed size. Small components break faster. A traditional controller like the GameCube or Pro use regular potentiometers where the joycons use linear slides.

I haven't really heard of problems with the pro controllers. Used mine since launch and its fine. Are people seeing issues?

That paper Mario, is sudden and awesome! I hope we have another 1000 year door and not color splash.

I got my Switch joy-cons to drift fixed back in July, Recently, for about a month, the drift has struck again, I plan on getting the pro controller soon.

Wow, that Paper Mario came very suddenly and with little fanfare. Imo further evidence that due to a confluence of reasons Nintendo are basically just like "... yeah... hahaha Direct? What's a Direct?" :lol  I need to see more of how combat and items work this time around to gauge whether this is truly the "return to form" it was rumored to be, but initial indications are positive!

    Edit to add:

Man I can't believe it's been 16 years since the Paper Mario series ended. How time flies!

That figures. I'm kind of debating wether or not I should get it. I've heard that you can fix the drift yourself. Is there any truth to that?
    Thanks!

    Kinda

Basic fixes are using contact cleanser or compressed air to get any debris that's under the rubber flap or in the joycon to get out. I do this and its only temporary. There's also alcohol rub you can do, but again its temporary for me.

People have the best luck fixing it, by taking it apart and doing the proper fixes within it.

That would be replacing the pads, right?

If you are debating getting the Pro controller my advice would be to it. So much more comfortable than the Joy Cons. That alone makes it easily worth it for me.

Lot of repairs I've read is that even the new joysticks and pads people are replacing with are wearing out. I think it's just too thin.

Anyone else annoyed with Animal Crossing? It’s such bullshit each Switch can only have one island.

Since I don't share, I don't mind. But I'm certain families who do share a Switch probably are annoyed.
