Got me a Walmart protection plan on my Switch Lite that's been on layaway. Feeling good about it, knowing how many kids I come across. I know there's a Nintendo warranty, but that doesn't seem to cover outside damage.
Always feels nostalgic when I get a handheld console, ushering me back to my days of wondering "What the HELL is a Gameboy?" before finally getting in on the action.
Naturally, my little Gameboy Advance has been far surpassed. The Lite kind of reminds me of it, though.
The GBA SP was my first handheld, and I think the console that got me collecting. I love that thing. How's the Lite working out so far?
I don't actually have it in hand yet, sorry if I confused. Still finishing the payments, but I can see the difference already between it and consoles past.
I don't even know if my GBA still works, sadly. I got an SP eventually because it could recharge, I dug how it folded and I just thought it looked cool. I still consider that one of favorites.
Never had an original GBA myself, but I can see why the Lite would remind you of it. I think my SP still has the original battery, and can still get like 3-4 hours of playtime.
Went to my apartment office to pick up another package and got a surprise package too...my Switch SNES controller came in. I totally forgot about it.
I went looking for youtube comparing the new update, and I'll be honest, they both look the same. Granted, I am watching a video on youtube and not on the Switch itself. Also, when you take the PS4/Xbox versions out of the comparison (and forget what they look like), the Switch version don't look bad. Bloodstained goes back to my "to buy" list. Behind 5 other games right now.
So, I'm 65 hours into DQ XI and I'm thinking, this is my game of the year. So I look up the other games I bought this year and realized none of them were originally released this year for it's original version. They were all older ports or re-releases. Not that I'm complaining. I really enjoyed the games I bought, minus NBA 2k9. Pokemon Sword is going to be the first "new" game I'll get this year.
Also, I was trying to get my wife to buy Witcher 3 before her Best Buy Gamers discount expire. She looks it up and goes "the Xbox one is cheaper, why don't you buy that?". "I can play it on whenever" "Just play it on the TV", "I don't want to play it on the TV" and for a few minutes, she sounded like Xbox internet dude saying Xbox > Switch, haha.
It Looks Like AlphaDream's Last Project Was Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games
I did enjoy the Mario & Luigi RPG series.
Report: Nintendo wants to bring cancelled 3DS games to Switch
That could be interesting. I would like to see these ideas come to light, and with the Switch Lite pretty much taking over the 3DS' spot, it should be easier for Nintendo to market them.
I’m still salty about capcom cancelling megaman legends 3 on 3ds
Maybe with Mega Man 11 being successful, Capcom may invest more with this franchise.
Maybe, but they seem content with collections and ports lately
Put a couple of hours into Luigi's Mansion 3 today. Plays pretty much as you'd expect, but it really does look great for a Switch game and performance seems like it's not far off a steady 1080p30. In a shocking turn of events for a first party Switch game, it actually has pretty decent AA as well.
Other highlight so far was that the map/menu device you get. I won't spoil the joke, but it did make me LOL.
Has E Gadd always spoke in Ewok? I don't think I've played a game with him since Sunshine and can't remember if that was the case back then.
Got digimon story cyber sleuth yesterday and despite a slow start it’s probably one of the better digimon games I’ve played
I bought my last game using Best Buy’s Gamers club. And that honor goes to Witcher 3. I don’t know when I’ll start playing it, I’m just under 70 hours in DQ XI and I got a legendary Pokémon.
