Then whats the excuse for the PS4K and the Xbox 1.5?
Same excuse as the new 3ds, Gameboy color and sega CD.
Get you to buy the system again.
as soon as the price is revealed for the NX, i'm saving money for the system, extra controllers and launch titles.
i have informed numerous costumers at gamestop into getting a Wii U who were confused of the name.
for about a year, i referred the Nintendo Wii U as the Nintendo police siren.
You mean the consoles that only exist in people's made up clickbait articles?
The Xbox 1.5 came about because the head of the XBox team said in an interview that he believes that consoles in the future would be modular, and that it's possible that a future Xbox console could have madular parts to let customers make the console they need similar to a PC. He never said that it would be an upgrades Xbox One, he even specifically said that the earliest he could see that happening was as the console coming after the next Xbox console.
The PS4K is also utter BS, the rumors claim that it would either be an upgrade to plug into the PS4 or a brand new console aking to the New 3DS, but that it would be able to play 4K games and have better performance for VR. The PS4 has no upgrade ports, and none of the ports that exist on it are capable of being used as such either. In fact the sources for the PS4K now claim that while it exists and is being worked on, Sony has no plans of releasing it at this point in time. Which is code for, "we lied about it". The only thing that could come from those rumours is that someone mistook the research and work that was being done on the PS5 as being a new iteration of the PS4, or they simply lied for attention.
Wow 10 million units in four years? That's what niche looks like. Nintendo has to do this release right, an the more recognizable games they have on that new system the better, especially when it's not named confusingly in a way that implies that it's an upgrade to an older console.
Actually Wii U has surpassed 12 million. That's not necessarily a bad number but it is rather disappointing compared to Nintendo's other consoles. And the majority of it stems from the poor marketing and the severe drought the console had back during the first half of 2013. Hopefully the NX does better. I'm definitely all for having enhanced ports of Wii U games on it if it would give more people the chance to play these spectacular games.
Money and gaming performance mostly. The shitty part about it is that once those come out the NX is gonna be back to being the weakest console of the bunch.
Rogerbase and Bitblock talk about the NX.
Just gimme a HDS and launch it with Super Mario Maker 2, Metal Gear Solid 5 Complete Edition and Dead Rising 2 Off the Record: Solid 30fps Edition.
Seriosly though, I hope Nintendo do at least one more DS system, maybe they'll have one for E3, one capable of carefully chosen 360/PS3/Wii U ports.
Yeah, no shit. Glad we're on the same page.
Not necessarily in practice (and even on paper it remains to be seen). The .5 consoles are going to be limited to taking XBO and PS4 games and just running them in 4K. So the applications of that hardware boost are limited.
The Nintendo NX Â*Will Be Out March 2017 Worldwide
No NX news at E3.
Could be released just before or after E3.. After all Nintendo does the Directs.
nice knowing you nintendo. been a fun 30 years.
No NX at e3 at all. Nx and Zelda wii u and NX versions pushed to 2017! And Zelda will be nintendos only playable game at E3! One game!
Man the fans are tearing Nintendo apart on the forums and many have said they are done with Nintendo! Their e3 went from the best to the worst before e3 even started! That's got to be a record!
Nintendo screwed up this time. They angered a lot of their fans with this move and they only have so many left!
Not really sure if some of the posts here regarding this news are sarcastic or sincere.
Granted, I'm miffed at Nintendo handling their new console so far, but part of me is hoping Nintendo at least surprises us with something good at E3. Let's not jump to conclusions here.
prepare to have your hope crushed
