Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles / Ghostbusters - IDW Publishing Another crossover. This time the turtles meet the classic ghostbusters!
Actually, that's an article announcing the crossover they did a couple of years ago, not anything new. It specifically mentions both franchises celebrating their 30th anniversaries. Both started in 1984, so that article is from 2014.
The entire on-going IDW Ghostbusters series is fantastic. They just finished the third full volume and it was incredible. The series pulls from a lot of sources (sometimes literally) and is a fantastic continuation of the original movie timeline (GB1, GB2, The Video Game). If you can, grab the trades! Vol 1: Total Containment, Vol 2: Mass Hysteria, TMNT meet Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters Get Real, Annual #1, Ghostbusters International (not YET in a trade yet it just finished last month) and Annual #2 in January.
i been slowly collecting and reading my way through all the idw tmnt volums so far i be up to issue 40 of the new mutant order storyline anyways am i the only one that reads herman the hermit crabs lines and hears him speaking wiht mr crabs voice from spongebob squarepants in my head? I'm actually waiting for a mutant seasponge to show up now lol (now theres a mental image )
While I'm usually not a fan of mixing artists during a story arc, I love what they're doing here with each dimension having a unique style to it. The story is great and I love Egon and Donatello's interactions. While I collect the Ghostbusters comics when they drop, this has really made me want to go back and collect the TMNT run. Between Dunn and the Collectors' new look, it's fun seeing Fast Forward getting some recognition even if that series was mediocre at best.
having revently read ninja turtles universe urban legneds storyline(hob goes out looking for hun to take revenge on him abandoning the mutanimals and they both encounter leaterhead during the fight) is it jus me or does any one else hear beast machines evil rhinox's voice actor while reading through leatherheads lines in the story? that gators got some serious existinual based mental issues philosophy wise
So I just got done reading...Basically all of IDW's Ghostbusters comics after the TMNT Crossover got my interest. I was surprised to see them use the reboot team in 101, but that comic redeemed the characters in my book. Oh, and I read the second crossover, too. Great stories for two great comics.
