Nicolas Cage as Dracula is about as good an idea as Will Ferrel as Sherlock Holmes was. Meaning: terrible.

Cage as Renfield might have been acceptable. A couple decades ago. Not Dracula. But maybe he'll surprise us. hahahaha, okay, that was silly.

 

Either he says “Bleh-bleh-bleh” or no deal.

 

Well, this is meant to be a comedy. It just might work...... Sort of.....

 

I’m especially going to look forward to this movie if it gets bad reviews. For those not familiar with how brilliant an unhinged Nicholas Cage can be the video shows him in all his glory.

 

The most likely way a live-action Dracula comedy would work is if Mel Brooks himself directs it, as is the case when he previously made said comedy starring the late, great Leslie Nielsen as Drac (plus Mel has extra experience having voiced Vlad in Hotel Transylvanias 2 & 3).

Awkwafina is playing an unnamed character who teams with Renfield to take on the legendary blood-sucker.


So it's just another vampire comedy? I'll have to pass, for now.

 

I knew it was a comedy, I didn't know till now it wouldn't take place in Victorian times.

 

I mean... they cast a living meme to play Dracula. Who thought this wouldn't be a comedy?

 

My first thought: Bad casting choice.
My second upon seeing its a comedy: Well alrighty then.

 

If you ever think something couldn't possibly get any worse, just add some Community to the mix.

 

I'll pass on this one. Not really into vamp films. They're so boring.

 

Cage as Dracula in a film is a must see. This is gong to be a train wreck heh heh heh.
