Cyberverse? Sure, it was ok. WFC? Among the worst TF shows I’ve seen and Bored me to death. I watched 2 episodes of season one and then waited half a year to finish watching it. Season 2 I ended up just cleaning around the house and playing games while it was on because I couldn’t be bothered to watch it.

I don't think you guys see the intellectual genius that Hasbro is putting on display by following in the steps of Teen Titans:

    1.) Make Transformers Animated
    2.) Cancel it midway
3.) Make Transformers Animated Go where they self awarely poke fun at Animated
4.) Fans get mad and whine about how Animated was much better
5.) Crossover episode with Animated and Animated Go
6.) Interest in the original Animated increases as reruns become more prevalent
    7.) Animated Go Movie
8.) Possibility of Animated Revival Increases
    9.) Profit

*jk but also not please bring back animated ffs

WFC is quite possibly one of the worst TV shows I have ever seen.

    The standard is definitely shit.

    Nickelodeon eh?
So this means the show won't be promoted, get stuffed into a 6 am Sunday timeslot, and eventually bounced to the nicktoons app and left to die. Because gods forbid Nick play anything but SpongeBob reruns

Yeah... So Teen Titans Go got six seasons and at least one movie (maybe two?). Maaaaaaaaaaybe these shows are not aimed at us? Cyberverse got three seasons and two movies (basically season 4). And again, maybe these shows are not aimed at us?

I could care less if its juvenile humor or uses an atypical art style as long as it grabs that young audience. We have plenty of content (new and old) to pick from.

Nickelodeon also targets a pre-teen/early-teen demographic-- it's not a coincidence that Hasbro chose to partner with them. I'm pretty sure Nick knows their audience too...

Originally I was thinking they could do a BW style show with the family taking in a transforming dog, but you could potentially do a show where they take in a Cybertronian who dons a Pretender suit and fits in as a member of the family that way.

The comedy coming from the fish-out-of-water situation where a Cybertronian has to pretend to he human, versus a comedic element of animals that are robots in disguise.

Would prefer that style of show to a car or truck bot.

Yup, I didn't watch all of Cyberverse but it produced some cool toys and there appear to be more coming. Good.

Even if this show isn't my jam, if the toys are fun I'll be happy.

Did we become star wars fans where most fans are marked by how much they hate anything new in the franchise and 90% of everything in the franchise that isn’t the original product but call ourselves fans of the franchise.

actually thinking back on “truck hot monky” we might have always been this way.

The proof is in the pudding. A grimdark, no-human fanwank Transformers cartoon is truly an awful idea.

Yup. Sigh. It's not like there's PLENTY of product aimed at us. God forbid Hasbro tries to cater to different audiences because that instantly means we get less attention/product.

The writing is fine; not Emmy winning but fine.

    Atrocious voice direction killed WFC

So, not the same as BotBots?  Wierd we\'ll be getting two comedy based TF series.  Now if done well, even a comedic series can have it\'s deeper, or darker moments, so I\'ll refrain judgement.

Besides Hasbro is gonna keep the shotgun approach up, so they\'ll still be stuff for us older fans.

I've seen a lot of negativity on this. I mean we haven't even heard anything other than a confirmation. We don't really know what this could be like, so I'm just going to stay cautiously optimistic. I like most Transformers stuff and if there's some cool new figures or something, I'm in.

It really isn't. It's complete garbage writing and story-wise. Prime's character is a buffoon, everyone else is either completely flat or just a total non-entity, and the plot is just meandering nonsense.

"Comedy" doesn't have to be the same thing for both shows.

BotBots would likely be more slapstick while this could be more jokey when compared to something like RiD/Cyberverse.

If I were Nick, I would consider using "comedy" to set it apart from something like WfC or even the Bay movies. Or possibly even other shows like Power Rangers which have humor but aren't "comedy."

I mean what did anyone expect? This is a retread and slight alteration of the G1/BW cartoon. G1 WAS meandering nonsense for the most part. This is at least a story that can be easily followed. Again, the writing is not stellar, but it’s serviceable

It just happens that they hired either 1) terrible VAs, 2) VAs that don’t give a damn about the property, or 3) a terrible voice director. A film or television series relies heavily on voice, and when the voice talent is shit, it amplifies the cracks in the rest of the project

It's called, you are all to today's children what we were to our own parents. Time to face the facts, people: we're already all boomers now.
