Update 4/03/16: Didn't get past flats on digital before I decided to just go with colored pencils for this one instead; this way I can give him the original colors as well.  

Would it be worth it to convert this to an ongoing art thread even if I don't get around to drawing robots very often? Hmm. (My peeved Cyclonus icon, for instance, is from another of mine I could post.)

Took Sakamoto's birthday as an excuse to draw Nickel, since he has a special connection to her as her designer.  

Debating between trying to color digitally or just attacking it with colored pencils before I give him the original. Any thoughts?

 

Digital coloring or coloring pencils... that's hard to decide. That being said, awesome piece!

Updated with colored version! (Still need to acquire a scanner so I can quit just using my phone camera.)
