Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Official E3 2012 Trailer - YouTube

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a role-playing video game,
co-developed by Japanese developer Level-5 and anime company Studio Ghibli, for the PS3.
The soundtrack of the game was scored by Joe Hisaishi, known for composing music for other Studio Ghibli anime.

The story of Ni no Kuni revolves around thirteen-year-old Oliver, a resident of Motorville,
whose mother, Arie, suddenly dies after rescuing him from drowning.
A doll, given to Oliver by his mother, is brought to life from his tears and reveals itself to be a male fairy named Drippy,
who gives Oliver a book that allows him to use the power of magic and enter the world of "Ni no Kuni,"
a reality parallel to his own. In Ni no Kuni, Drippy says Oliver may be able to find his mother, Arie.
Using the newfound power of magic, Oliver and Drippy venture into Ni no Kuni.
There, he befriends Maru, Gyro, and other alternative versions of people (and animals) he knows.

Level-5 has confirmed that the Western version of the PlayStation 3 game will be published by Namco Bandai Games
and will include both English and Japanese voice tracks.

Release date is January 22, 2013
    - the Demo is available to download "NOW" on the PSN store!

This is probably already my GOTY for 2013 based on the demo I played.

I played this at a Namco panel at my summer anime con. Probably the main reason I'm looking to get a PS3.

It's going to be weird seeing anything Ghibli related without a female main character (yes, I know they assist, but seriously, most Ghibli protagonists are variations of Nausicaa)

Been playing the demo over and over. I like the fighting mechanics. A little FFXII and a little Pokemon.

I gave the demo a try, and I liked what saw. wasn't a huge fan of how the camera moved, but the game itself is very fun and cute. Loved the soundtrack too.

The voice dub sounds great from what I heard too.

I have this preordered to. Honestly, Xenoblade Chronicles may have been my favorite game this year, and I have a feeling this will be the Xenoblade Chronicles of next year.

Yeah but it will be a while before I get around to playing it. I still have holiday game leftovers.

On a similar note, Monolith showed an unnamed RPG that looks to be tied to Xenoblade Chronicles for the WiiU. All I can say about that is that it's now my most anticipated game... on anything.

    I did too!

The case is going for ridiculous amounts on Ebay

So far, the game starts off very slow. You don't get into combat till about thirty minutes in but I'm loving this game. Dubbing seems to be alright so far

I got this with the steelbook case. Disappointed that I didn't preorder the Wizard Edition. (Though, people are having a hard time getting their preorders fulfilled.)

Totally. I was going to go with subtitles and Japanese language, but I couldn't resist Drippy's English voice actor. The cat people in the first town are great too.
