Yeah, Devonte was smart and made them hurry up the next play. I just don't understand why Shanahan didn't protect this qb at all against a team that had 70 sacks this season. I would have had Kittles in the backfield to chip block Reddick and run the football more. How bad was Purdy injury that they took him about then got him back in the game? Either way even if he wasn't injured, I think the results would have been the same.

Torn UCL in his elbow. He couldn't throw the ball beyond 5 yards. Then, Josh Johnson sustained a concussion, so Purdy had to go back out and just hand the ball off.

The worst part of this is that we were robbed of a good game. It's like a championship heavyweight bout with one fighter having an arm tied behind his back. The Niners D put up a valiant effort, but it was just too much to overcome... and the bonehead penalties in the 2nd half didn't help.

Honestly, even IF Purdy wasn't injured the result would have been the same. Apparently, he couldn't feel anything elbow down. I think the NFL should increase the NFL roster to 54 to accommodate another qb for the teams. If your down two qbs the game is over basically.

Brady is gone; this time supposedly for good. Thank god. I hope him coming back for that last year just to play at basically replacement level was worth his marriage.

I'll believe Brady's retirement when he doesn't have a uniform next season. I remember when Brett Favre kept flip-flopping in and out of retirement.

If Purdy didn't get hurt it would have been a much more competitive game, but in the end, everything ended up being a perfect storm for an Eagles win from the 4th and 3 fraudulent catch that was never reviewed or even challenged to Bosa getting accidentally leg-whipped on the sidelines by an Eagles player as he was about to come into the game.

It was announced this morning on KNBR that Purdy will have to undergo Tommy John's surgery, which means he'll be out for the entire 2023 season. Fuck.

Was thinking the same thing. Why not retire after he one the last Superbowl with the Bucs? Walk away a winner, with nothing left to prove.

Bosa shouldn't have been that close to the sideline. Besides it was a 49er player that literally took down an Eagle player into Bosa. Sucks about Purdy. 49ers had no luck when it comes to a healthy qb. Trust me I understand as an Eagles fan. We won our first Super Bowl with a backup.

Yeah I feel really bad for Purdy; he might not get another chance. He's a prime example of why they should get medical care for life. And have some kind of contract guarantee for injury at least.

Anybody watch any of the new Probowl? I actually found the flag football game more entertaining than the previous non contact, contact Probowl games. Players looked like they were having fun. I liked seeing the players in regular shorts/tees, especially the big guys, you really see how massive some of them are in comparison to each other.

Damn, don't see Hurts fumbling the ball much.

I'm confused, what is a catch now?

Eagles is the lessor of the two evils for me. I will jinx them by saying I want them to win. Then again Malfunction appears to be hurts.

Well, another shitty halftime show with lip syncing and backing tracks. I don't know what the hell the NFL was thinking when they put Jay -Z of all people in charge of who gets to perform every year. We'll probably never see another live rock band perform the halftime show ever again.
