I don't think they're gonna win next week if they played like they did last night. Came out hot in the first half but they fizzled out. Too many field goals, not enough touchdowns. And gave up too many big plays when they needed stops. Still, the last time they won a playoff game, I was still in the womb, so I'm just happy they made it this far.

    Last time the Bengals won:

    - Jags, Panthers, Texans, and Ravens weren't around
    - The Oilers were still in Houston
    - Raiders and Rams were in LA

Please. The refs didn't cost you the game. How about the turnovers? Or how about the idiot who fielded the kick-off at the 2-yard line when it was clearly going to go out of bounds. You fail to mention the phantom roughing the passer penalty called against the Bengals on that last drive and all the times the play clock hit zero before Carr snapped the ball.

When they blew the whistle on that "controversial" touchdown play, the ball was 6 inches from Tyler Boyd's hands. Nobody let up on that play - Boyd already had the cornerback beat. It was going to be a touchdown no matter what. The Bengals were the better team. In fact, they were the better team twice this year. Stop blaming the refs, that's what we have done the last 31 years.

The Bengals can't play the Chiefs next. When Buffalo won last night, that eliminated that possibility. It can only be the Bills or the Titans for the Bengals next week.

no, both calls are equally bad. i agree that there is no way to know what would have happened if the down was replayed but the rule is the whistle blew so the play should have been dead at that moment no matter how close, and the Raider DB did stop when he heard the whistle. you can’t justify the win because the call you like caused your team to win and then whine about the roughing the passer call.

That DB did not stop because of the whistle. He stopped because he knew it was a TD. Boyd torched him.

That call did not cause the Bengals to win. They won because they were the better team.

Lol, but yeah, the Raiders would have won if not for that whistle...please. You are blind if you think that.

i never said that. the facts are your team won by 7 points they shouldn’t have had, period. that’s all i’m saying. you can make up what ever reason you want to justify that TD but it shouldn’t count. but the game is over, they won. If it had been 31 years of my team being shit, i’d talk mess too. the last 21 years haven’t been that great for me either lol. They didn’t win because they are a better team or because of the refs (but they were assisted) but they did win so i guess that’s it.

I’m not justifying the TD - I’m just calling out the ridiculous notion that it was the sole reason why the Raiders lost.

The Bengals might have scored a TD if they replayed the down and almost assuredly would have at least had a field goal.

They absolutely did win because they were the better team. Twice this year in fact.

if you let one bad call cost you the game then you didn't play well enough to win. Bad calls are no different than big plays...they happen often enough that you need to play well enough to overcome them.

I don't even think it was that. Had Dak not ran as far as he did, they could have had that extra second or second and a half at least to make one last play to try to win it. But because Dak ran too far and ran off too much off the clock...well...the umpire couldn't touch the ball to start the next play. So I maintain that the niners lucked out.
