Good lord he looks so uncomfortable. I liked his old look better anyway.
Jaguars just extended Blake Bortles through 2020.
Why? I was sure they were going to trade or draft a qb.
That's a nice move for Rodgers. Bryant just want's to be the number one receiver at Green Bay he will have that opportunity.
They still might draft one, but this serves as a decent insurance policy. Hanging on to Bortles means that there will be some semblance of stability to the offense. They’re not paying him too much either. I still think they’re going to draft another QB this year to develop over the next three years or compete for the job right away. Right now, that team doesn’t really have any major needs besides younger talent at tight end. If a new guy were to beat him out for the job, they’d at least have a good backup for a year, and they can opt out of his contract after the first year if he regresses.
Gotta wonder if the jets are trying to free money to make a move for Cousins.
I'm hoping Gruden can bring the Raiders back to life.
Gruden wasn't really all that great, and he's been away from the game for 10 years. I wouldn't expect too much.
So whoever drafts Shaq Griffin (UCF) is going to get a STUD. Did 20 reps in the bench press (yes, the guy with one hand) and just ran the fastest 40 time by a LB in a decade (and faster than many WR's). And to think he almost wasn't even invited to the combine.
The man is absolute class on and off the field. The definition of an asset.
Yeah Shaquem Griffin is for real, and I’m surprised that scouts are surprised by this. Did they even watch any of his film? He had no problems with shedding blocks and beating offensive players to the line of scrimmage. He’s a truly inspirational story, and some team is going to get a steal because I still doubt he’s going to get drafted in the first round even though there is a strong argument that he should.
In other Combine notes, my Penn State Nittany Lions were well-represented. Saquon Barkley is a generational talent, and any team in the top 5 that passes on him should just give up altogether. I always knew that Mike Gesicki was a special receiving tight end, but even I didn’t expect his tests to be that great. He was as fast as most receivers but at 6’6” and 253 pounds. The guy can jump like he’s playing an Assassin’s Creed game or something too.
As of now, I think Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen will be the best quarterbacks this year. They just have that mental factor combined with the arm strength. It was definitely stupid of Sam Darnold not to throw when every other major quarterback did, and he couldn’t compete in the Senior Bowl. It just seems like he’s hiding something that he feels he can mask by throwing to receivers he already has a rapport with.
For every rep Griffin did, another Alabama fan cries out in pain...
And that's what a NATIONAL CHAMPION does.
Shaquem Griffin says the Knights are National Champs. What SEC fan is dumb enough to argue with him ?
EDIT: FYI, his twin brother, Shaquille Griffin was drafted by Seattle last year. He graduated on time but Shaquem had a medical red shirt.
Oh, and UCF has about 5 deadly ass players in the draft this year. Griffin, Jordan Akins, Tre 'Quan Smith, Mike Hughes. All have all-pro potential.
Well, Seawhawks will be better this year. Hopefully. Trading Bennett will be enough and having new coordinators should be an ideal thing. Good luck hawks, you'll need it.
A lot of people are mad the Steelers are franchise tagging Le’veon Bell again. However, I’m glad they are, and I think more people need to have this put into context. The Steelers aren’t disrespecting Bell and not offering him a long term deal. Bell turned down a deal that would make him far and away the highest paid running back in the league at $13.5 million a year. For reference, Devonta Freeman (the current highest paid RB in the league) earns just $8 million a year (which was a huge deal at the time). Not to mention, Bell is already 26 years old and doesn’t commit to the team as much as he should. Most elite running backs that get as many touches per season as he does start to dip in productivity when they hit 28. I say run him as much as possible this year for another championship run, and then let some other team kill their salary cap by signing him next year for a couple good seasons left.
I think a franchise tag is good for Bell. Like Rusty said, he did get a good offer, but turned it down. Dude is kind of a DQ, and doesn't give it his all at times. (Reminds me of Lynch recently)
Howie Roseman at work. Go Eagles!!!!!!

Fired Browns coaches reportedly threw a party for themselves at NFL combine
lol @ Rock Bottom
sad day....he will be missed...
EDIT: and the bills trade tyrod taylor to the browns too....i'll have to look out for another tombstone...
EDIT EDIT: now damarious randall from green bay to the browns...are the browns trading all their draft picks for vets? that.....might actually be a smart move. did they finally hire kevin costner for real?
Free agency hasn’t even started yet, and teams are making some big moves. I don’t know how anyone will beat the Rams next year. Teams are just giving them their #1 corners. They’re going to be scary with that secondary, Aaron Donald causing interior pressure, Todd Gurley, and a rising young quarterback in Goff. Rams-49ers games are going to be epic to watch next year with the whole McVay vs Shanahan and Goff vs Garoppolo matchup.
The Eagles’ GM is insanely good at his job. He got the Panthers to deal out a decent corner for a wide receiver they were probably going to cut later anyway. Also, here’s a tip for all you fantasy football players out there; keep an eye out for Mack Hollins. He was very impressive in a limited role in his first season last year, and they just hired his wide receiver coach in college.
I’m a little worried about the Browns now as a Steelers fan. Now they have to stop Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon, and potentially my boy Saquon Barkley. Pittsburgh better get a damn good Safety this offseason (by the way, they thankfully plan on cutting Mike Mitchell). Tyrod Taylor is a game manager that I’m not 100% sold on, but considering that Deshone Kizer threw 20+ interceptions last year, maybe they need one.
