finally got my Heatwave today, Nexus Maximus is kinda cool. my only gripe is Breakaway has a grey colored energon star and weapons instead of the standard red like the rest. thats pretty much it.
I think he's pretty awesome. Especially in the formation that was in the comics. Instead of the one in the instructions. My complaints about him are the same complaints I have for the Energon combiners in general. In that the limbs do not make great limbs.
My main problem with Nexus Maximus is it has the attachment which you're supposed to put in your... Oh, that Nexus Maximus. My bad...
Ha. XP You got to the joke before I could. I'm too cheap to pick up the Collector's Club bots, sadly. Not a member. But he does look pretty cool, overall.
Google nexus maximus. I'm with you on the grey weapons, really bugs me I've gotten the ROLF and originals of the limbs so I'm gpoing to swap out some of weapons so none of them match cos that'll actually bother me less.
Just did that! Holy Crap that is priceless! Hasbro must be completely embarassed!! As for the figure, I got mine and combined them. He's a cool combiner. I like the fact that the club used 5 different molds unlike what Hasbro did in the first place with the combiners. I've tried different limb arrangments and (since I can't remember their names right now) having the helicopter and jet as his arms then the tank and the A-10 plane as his legs looks pretty good and is quite stable.
Just got my Heatwave and the first combo I put him in is this one! He looks great. I don't like the head as much as I thought but it looks good from a distance. Lumpy and I are buying an extra Fansproject Superion upgrade to split with hopes of getting an eventual Bruticus upgrade kit. I love the energon combiners. Just hate the lack of hands and feet.
The head does seem a little off. When I first saw the head, I thought the black part was it's eyes and the the red trapezoidal piece below was the mouth. I thought it looked dang cool. Then I got the figure in the mail and realized the black part was the mouth. It was a little disappointing....
While we're griping about Nexus Maximus.... does anyone else's have a super-loose combiner head? Not the neck-plate, the actual head itself. Mine is super loose and wobbly; if you tilt him to the side, the head kinda lolls down. I unscrewed it, and it looks like the pin was inserted crookedly so that it didn't snug up. I may be able to fix it somehow, but I was just curious if anyone else had this problem. Thanks!
I want to know how come I've yet to see one single person take a darn picture of this thing combined.
